Lied to about the quality of the defense... Who lied and isn’t the manager supposed to be able to assess his squad and bring in reinforcements if necessary. He’s signed off on two complete donkeys. In fact they are worse that the other donkeys we already had in the donkey sanctuary. He’s made the defense worse 109% this. I’m tired of hearing that the defensive situation is not Rowett’s fault. He owns it, and it’s going to be his downfall if he can’t figure it out sharpish. How can he stop defenders from making individual mistakes every game?

He owns it, and it’s going to be his downfall if he can’t figure it out sharpish. The owners bigged us up to Rowett and I'm sure he was shocked about the appalling defence we've got. We didn't go all out to sign Chester when he was available because the men upstairs didn't want to spend the coin on a position they thought was good enough. After publicly saying he didn't like loans he was forced to last minute because we needed numbers in defence.

I'm starting to really feel sorry for Rowett. He was clearly lied too before he came about the quality of defence and wasn't backed to sign a defender until the loan window.
He's got us scoring goals but there is nothing he can do about individual defensive errors that 9 times out of 10 end up costing us goals.
He's fighting a losing battle. Hopefully he'll be backed in January, we need a whole new defence.

Rotherham had a lots of tall players... an GR decided to drop our tallest and strongest defender and replace him with Willams. I would love to hear his reasoning for that, if he has any. Shawcross deserved to be dropped. I doudt he would have done much better than Williams today anyway. They're both past their best.

Allen was better than Bojan tonight, and I’m warming to the idea that he’s actually a pretty good manager and his defence is just an abortion. Unfair to compare really with Bojan only playing for 25 minutes. Thought Allen played well though, although doesn't get the credit he deserves when he does.

If we had a half decent defence we'd be a good side in this division. We've shown we can score goals but it's not practical playing the 'we'll score more than them' game as it's never going to happen. Shore the defence up (easier said than done until Jan) and we'll be climbing the table.

We need to hold on until January and buy some quality. There's a reason these players haven't got a club....they're not good enough.

Watching Shaq playing for Liverpool shows what a class player he is. He was wasted with us unfortunately.

Surprised Woods got MOM, thought Allen was better. Both had good games but Allen edged it for me. Woods was the difference between us winning and losing that game. Simple as that. He barely misplaced a pass all night. Was in the right place on two key Swansea breaks and had a massive second wind in the last twenty which he wasn’t able to find on sat, Allen’s best performance in a long while but woods clearly MOTM tonight. Woods was quiet 1st half which was mainly down to Swansea pressing him. Allen won the ball back on many occasions, was decentish with the ball at his feet and he got the goal. Better of the 2 for me.

We have nothing to fear against the Swedes. If we go out and play our high tempo game we SHOULD win. 2-0 England.

Keown, Dixon, Phil Neville, Iain Dowie, Murphy, Larsson, Upson. They're all gash. BBC wins because there's no breaks.
