After all the comments from clubs fans that Rowett had managed I expected dour, boring and turgid football but up to now we’re getting anything but.Our front 6 are probably the best in the division but will he sacrifice any of this to make us defensively stronger?or is it just individual mistakes that are costing us.

Our last two away performances have given me hope with Rowett that he isn't the one dimensional dinosaur i'd seen at Derby and Brum.
It's bizarrely been a failing of his strengths at those clubs that have hampered us, which to be honest, i'm struggling to get my head around.

It's not that difficult to understand: 1) aging players with long term injuries 2) slowest team in the galaxy 3) bare minimum number of players and loaded with journeymen 4) worst defence in the country prior to the mediocre exodus and zero signings of positive note in that department 5) panic loan signings yet again- all crap 6) so much money wasted by recruitment- who the hell expected them to suddenly become efficient? They are wasters, should have got rid of the pair of clowns. If your the new manager of the above, it's not hard to foresee the forthcoming problems. That's why he threatened to walk. That's why we're in the shit. That's why we need to "learn from mistakes" and actually run the bloody club efficiently and effectively.... Neither of which have been done for a long long time. Do you see?

Must admit (and I'm still RowOUT at this point...) that the game was pretty exciting in the last 10 mins. Had me gripping the table rather than turning off. Loved that Bojan header - that's the stuff I tune into Stoke for. Listen up RowOUT ish

Until we rid ourselves of Scholes and Cartwright we will be hampered by people who have no clue as to what makes a good footballer
It remains a disgrace that Coates has overseen a structure that allows these two to run this club

The Pulis Mk2 tag disappeared pretty quickly didn't it. Noticed a stat today that Stoke are 20th out of 24 for playing long balls. Whatever Rowett is he isn't Pulis.

The annoying thing he doesn’t need to sacrifice anyone. We just needed to buy better defenders rather than the 2 clowns he’s loaned in

Do you see? I don't think it's that simple. If you did a straw pole on a majority of fans after last season I dare say a number would have looked at our current back four and thought they would all do a job in this league, if not promotion quality then certainly a lot better than conceding 8 goals to teams that were in league one last season. Add onto that a manager that has a seriously strong record of creating organised teams then it's even more of a head scratcher.

If we had a half decent defence we'd be a good side in this division. We've shown we can score goals but it's not practical playing the 'we'll score more than them' game as it's never going to happen. Shore the defence up (easier said than done until Jan) and we'll be climbing the table.

I agree, but now we have the facts, we can see why we are in the mess The complete lack of urgency, lack of research, lack of evaluation, lack of recruitment skills, lack of management in terms of the club as an entity, and lack of foresight. Where was the planning? We are almost back at huth and shawx... Did we jump in a time machine? Cheapo club, cheapo systems, cheap cheap frauds

I think personal mistakes are killing us. The two centre half’s are just far too slow and lack any real fight. Saturday Danny graham gave us a bettering and tonight we struggled with the tall lad up top. He made no secret he wanted James Chester. The decision not to make it happen is killing us.
