5/6 all round
We're an average team in an average league.
Brown being higher rated than anyone is a joke. He spent most of his time on his arse.
High point was Tezgel and fair play to Neil for bringing him on. I just hope we can get the best out of him, he looks a genuine talent.

Playing Brown instead of an actual RWB and no Tezgel (unless injured) on the bench baffles me. Clarke showed more in limited time he had than Brown did all game. That's not a dig at Brown, it's poor management

He's a 19 year old kid playing his first senior season. I'm not sure what people expected He's been used to being the best in his age group and overpowering the kids he was playing against. He's realised he can't do that now and is naive at times but experience will sort that out. There is no doubt he's a class player. I see not a shred of class in him his shooting is atrocious his first touch as bad his football brain worse than both he is a trier for sure but so was Andy Cooke and lovely committed guy he was he was he wasnt the answer so i hope your right and seeing something I can't The fact we possess zero creativity is making things a lot harder for him too

This is true. I saw them in Spoons and when I asked them if they were playing tomorrow they both said at the same time I AM NOT EVEN BOTHERED Make your own conclusions I take it that was down in Bournemouth where they would have been staying for the night in a hotel with the rest of the squad. That's the give away in the original post. Correct. Bournemouth spoons this was

Smith had a poor touch and was stretching, when you do that you're in trouble.
Didn't look like a red at the time and after watching the highlights there was no 'oooohhhhh' from the crowd. I didn't even think it was a foul

Why, when he's in acres of space does no one pass to him?
2 games in a row now that he's had loads of space on the left but been denied.
Wilmot is the main culprit

If anyone says anything other, they are lying. In the past dozen games only Blackburn away were we remotely decent. MON football is officially now dreadful. Not sure he knows how to stop this poor run. I hope Stoke manage to stay up but it’s not only dreadful football, it’s relegation form. Is this your first season watching Stoke? Get a grip pal. It's glaringly obvious that MON is restricted by FFP which means he's found it hard to get his own team in. He has/the board have done a decent job shifting some of our highest earners, which puts money in our pocket so hopefully we are in a better financial position next season so he can get his players in. He seems intent on playing a 443 which we don't really have the players for now, but come next season hopefully we do. This was never going to be a quick fix. Keep us up last season. Consolidate this season. Compete next for promotion next season.

He's the only proper DM we have. I think him and Mikel would make a great partnership

So when Davis is fit what’s your call??? I reckon Davies back to first spot but Bursik replaces Gunn as number 2. When Davies and Gunn are both fit, hopefully by January, I would send Bursik out on loan again. Davies was excellent before his injury and we're stuck with Gunn for the season so this would make sense to me.

Time to get Verlinden in now. Should have been on the bench today over Ince.

It's so refreshing to have a manager who's willing to give the young players a fair crack of the whip.
He's managed them so well, keeping them out of the firing line last season then showing a lot of faith in them this season whilst mixing them with some experienced heads. Souttar especially has been a revelation this season. (As has Campbell but he was involved last season)

Didn't a Vale player fuck off abroad on a free only to turn back up in England a few months later thus meaning no transfer fee was paid? Think he was a very sought after low league player at the time. Stephen McPhee "Port Vale are a two-bob operation and we are a major company. Their concerns, they can stick up their arse." — McPhee's agent Jonathan Barnett had harsh words for Port Vale." 😂 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_McPhee

Has he got the key to the city yet? It's amazing how he has lifted the spirits of our club and fans within a year of being here with what he inherited. Until we lose a game 🙄

It's rare that we win pre season games so that's obviously encouraging. Plus the decent end to last season.
We're not perfect but no Championship team is. I think Mikel could be the key this season.
With a decent manager in charge, which we have, we should be in with a shot at promotion no doubt.
We have every reason to be optimistic.

New (ish) on the block but the way this bloke whips up a crowd baffles me. Doing big things on his own without a record label and playing to crowds of this size. Saw him in May at the Neighbourhood festival. He captivates the crowd so well for someone who's only been on the bigger stages for a matter of months, up there with the best performances I've ever seen. Imagine he would be even better in a club/arena but his shows sell out in seconds!
