Can someone clear up where Tuncay can play? I am assuming it's anywhere from an attacking midfielder upwards, and on either side or central??? Might seem a daft question but seen little of him Natural position = attacking midfielder (central) Accomplished positions = right & left wing, striker So why is it so difficult to accommodate him???

I don't know why, but I find playing in the Prem so draining. Yep, these breaks do my heart and the family some good. Better to be here than anywhere else, though.

Jimmy-Cooper: A very good point. People might say "It won't happen" at this moment in time but I'm absolutely certain that it WILL and it won't be too many years in the future. The Top clubs will play in a European 'Super League' with huge attendances and massive sponsorship/TV revenue. It's just too tempting for the greedy fuckers. Maybe then the rest of us will get more of a level playing field and have the opportunity to genuinely compete for the honours. What a load of crap!!! Take those lot out and we wouldn't be the best in the country would we??? They would be!!! They go and fook off to European/World Leagues and it devalues any league that is left. We wouldn't be the best team in the country if the best teams are competing in another league would we??? FFS, this argument really pisses me off. I, for one, would give up bothering if this happened because there would be no point whatsoever!!! Biggest load of bollox IMO. You want to play the best not let them get away and pretend that what is left is OK and, by default, be 'Champions of England'. Rubbish, absolute rubbish!!! Rant over and hope and don't mean to offend, just hate that idea with a passion!!!

Joe Corrigan? Bit unfair, maybe but unfair on Southall given his Everton record.

Muttley, I think that game was at the baseball ground (?) if so i remember reading one of the best misprints in the paper the following day, it went something like " ....and Scott drifted past two players before screwing his shit past the post" PMSL ;D ;D ;D

Can't believe I forgot Crooks!!! Great striker regardless of his media image and attitude to the club that nurtured and developed his talent.

Is this going on who you've seen or hearsay/goalscoring records???
I can't put in any real order but some who spring to mind (worst) Billy Whitehurst, Wayne Clarke, Tony Ellis, John Tudor, Keith Scott, Neville Chamberlain, Ian Painter and others. Best, Fuller, Beattie, Greenhoff, Stein, Sheron and Thorne. I know I will have missed others, especially off the worst list.

Get your point to a point but wouldn't change any of it. Waited and wondered if it would ever be us featuring on MOTD/Sky every week and now it is. This is our time now and hopefully always and forever. Maybe we can even 'push on' and achieve some tangible success!!!

I can't believe this may be true. I know there are many threads on this board about loved ones passing away and it is always very sad but this seems like we are somehow involved. I remember frantically refreshing and checking the thread over and over again to see if there was any truth to it. It was a fun thread and now this!!!

Always, always, always Stoke City. Nothing else matters. England winning any match will never compare to Stoke winning any match, World Cup Final included. My only slight hope is that England qualify for the big comps as I am usually on holiday during the Finals. I wouldn't lose any sleep if they weren't, though. Whereas with Stoke, well it's cold sweats and nightmares!!!

Where is the thread from last night asking the question about this poor lad??? Surely there needs to be some clarity here??? Hope it's not true but if so RIP fellow Stokie. Can anyone confirm this???

Well said PC. Keep it up, keep pissing off those around you. Make Stoke Citys' voice heard loud and clear. It's great that we are ruffling a few feathers where it matters rather than being down and outs, slumming it with Pork Fail.

I don't want them but can see it happening. My question is where would they start??? As MysticalDescent says, surely it would have to be at the bottom of the pyramid. They wouldn't be winning much for a few years then then would they? I think the one thing we need to be fearful of is a European/World League, as suggested by some so called expert on 5 Live the other day. That would be the end of my interest in football as you can bet your bottom dollar it would be a closed shop. Where would that leave Stoke City and any aspiration to see top class football at the Brit???

Yep. Seriously, in my time, it has to be Peter Shilton, Peter Fox, Mark Crossley. Jason Kearton, remember him?........Brilliant shotstopper. Peter Shilton was my hero (I got Peter Shilton gloves for Xmas circa 1976) but he was not at his best for Stoke. Yep, Jason Kearton...great shotstopper, what happened to him??? could have had a good career at Stoke. What about Harrison from '82/83...decent goalie who covered for Foxy, but then what???

So what about a 10 point penalty? Does this not come into it if the PL seize control? Surely there must be some clarity on this and not seemingly ad hoc rules made up to protect PL clubs (or certain PL clubs). And as for the 72 other clubs??? Just let them die???

Yes of course he is Why choose Man Utd other than because of the 'glory' - Could have chosen plenty of other teams all of whom would value his support so much more than them. People like him are simply widening the gap between the haves and have nots and contributing (in their own small way) to the fact that football is completely fucked up. Good answer, stokemark. He is a gloryhunter no matter that he follows Manure closely. He has no connection and no proper reason to follow them and is, as said above, "widening the gap" and killing football just like every other gloryhunter who buys into following the successful clubs at the expence of less successful clubs.

I detest the lot of their glory hunters. It might be a tiny little thing, but on principle I have never employed any glory hunter from any of the so called big 4. I always engage potential candidates in friendly conversation before the interview to find out who they support. If I was ever taken to tribunal, my defence would be that I don't want to employ someone who is untrustworthy, has bad judgment, is inadequate and is a detestable human being. I don't employ men with long hair either ;D Quite right, too. I think that anybody who gloryhunts is untrustworthy, etc.
