I always remember that Jean on the coaches made us happy by telling us that we had signed Mark Stein. This motivated Slack Ellis to score a couple. He probably thought that would keep him his place. He was wrong. Very wrong. Yep, remember that night. At Staffordshire University at the time and seem to remember Radio Stoke commenting that the two Ellis goals wouldn't be enough to keep new signing Stein out of the side. Being Tony's biggest fan, I was gutted at this prospect ;D

A couple of strange decisions and players seem to have little respect for him. We could be watching this guy referee at the top level for 15 years or more!!!
The new Rob Styles???

Not me. Didn't expect anything from this match. Glad we're out but not particularly happy to lose four goals. However, it does show that we have a weak second string defensively and TP should be working on this. Saturday is vital, tonight was not.

I've mentioned it under the thread - 'I'm just watching Football First. And Hansen was fulsome in his praise of us. Jeez, what more do you want? And isn't AH entitled to an opinion? Sit back and enjoy the well-earned compliments. The lads did us proud and neutral Hansen could appreciate it. That's a fucking long title for a thread. ;D ;D ;D

I just cannot believe that people are calling this a penalty. I am willing to say that we were lucky in matches, if we were or we got away with something, etc, but I feel strongly that the ref got this right. Good call.

Doesn't matter, not given, we win. Marvellous. See, no penalty. Should be no discussion, either.

I can't believe there are sooo many threads and Stoke fans saying it was a penalty. HE GOT THE BALL FIRST. No need to look carefully, FFS.

Pulis just doesn't see Tuncay at all. He has no plans for him beyond squeezing him in somewhere in a dire emergency. 'Fuckin' 'ell monkey-bonce we've only get 9 fit players for satdee' 'no boss-la, there's that kiddie lunch-pie or whatever his name is' 'Is he any good' ;D ;D ;D

So why is it so difficult to accommodate him??? Because we don't play with conventional strikers or left and right wingers. Our requirements of players are very specific and Tuncay doesn't fit any of the profiles. Surely matches like today are the ones where we need a more positive/attacking player to get amongst them and in our case to surprise them to some extent. I can understand tracking back, etc in games against those considered to be the top sides but against WHU in their present predicament, we should be looking for a positive result rather than keeping things tight and hoping things fall for us. If we lose and TP hasn't used Tuncay, then I fear a backlash from certain sections and maybe rightly so...
