Are we all going to sit in near silence for 90 minutes again and then ask why the players weren't up for it?
Can't we just try being intimidating again for a while?
If you're bothered about Stoke City then make some noise today. I refuse to go down without a fight. Let's get stuck in these baggy twats.

Johnny Evans needs to be booed, abused and heckled every time he goes near the ball...

Johnny Evans needs to be booed, abused and heckled every time he goes near the ball... Can anyone remember "random player booing" that we discussed a couple of seasons, I think that would be rather funny and would confuse the fuck out of the opposition. If i remember rightly, we picked danny drinkwater as our first victim, and then he never played

It's great in theory, but impossible to organise without making it very public knowledge which player you're targetting, which kind of takes away the element of surprise and makes the whole exercise pointless. Drinkwater did play. Think he might have come on at half time or at some point. When his name was announced I heard a couple of loud boos go up, which made me chuckle. But it never got going.

Please let us think about this
The players are paid to be at the ground today The fans are paying to be at the ground today
Please tell me whose responsibility it is to create an atmosphere? Like in any other entertainment industry, I will be shouting and clapping when there is something to shout and clap about

It is going to be a funny atmosphere today - it always is when your manager is facing the sack.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see them giving their all but when confidence is low we can be the catalyst that inspires the recovery we so desperately need. For me the money is irrelevant, it runs much deeper than that...

Absolutely sick of this "we need something to get us going" crap. I pay for my ticket. I know this is a 2-way relationship. The nature of supporting anyone but the big 4 is that we will usually receive less than we give. I accept that. It's the lot of a being a football fan and not a glory hunter.
But right now the team needs us. When we were promoted, we never needed any inspiration from the players - we were just bloody loud all the time, no matter what. Just like I was when we were at the bottom reaches of the third-tier. It should not matter. Not everyone is loud, I accept that, but the support has been poor for 2 years and I don't think anyone can fairly say otherwise.
Now is our time, our chance to do a bit when the team needs us, our chance to make a difference. I love my team and do not want it relegated thanks very much. If I can do something to help, and making that place a nasty, intimidating, noisy cauldron will help, then bloody hell I'm going to do it. Why wouldn't you?

Whatever.
They simple fact is the team play better with the crowd behind them. I want my team to play better so I get behind them.
If you need "entertainment" go the circus and watch clowns. FFS.

Decent atmosphere today. Particularly 1st half. Well done chaps.
The team plays better if we get behind them. It's simple.
