WBA at home, we give Mark a rousing reception as he walks out. Don't clap Pulis, just sing your heart out for Mark.

Can't see him getting that. The mood isn't right. He'd be gone now if it was up to me.
I forsee the usual match build up albeit a bit of nervousness in the air. Things will turn very quickly and badly though if we lose.
He's on a tightrope. Nothing less than 3 points will do.

I predict the same 'Forever Grateful' banners and fawning over the capped one with a smattering of 'bring him back' whilst booing our own manager.

Needs to be done. Without trying to sound like a walking cliché, we simply need to get behind the team and support them, regardless of circumstance.

If the players start the match at a high attacking tempo (and we've not lost to Hull already) then I hope this happens, however start the game with too much tippy tappy and allow them to get stuck into us and the boos will start.
I want Hughes gone but I hope he can turn it round and proven wrong.

Last season he showed his true colours, any respect admiration for what he did for our club were destroyed before, during and after that game, he will have done his homework on our weakness's expect a physical battle loads of high balls into our box, will be able to compete with that Naahhhhhhh Nige not for me.

You would think that Hughes would get them (GK included) practicing defending corners, long balls/punts and set-pieces. Sat will show it either way. Any corner/free-kick to WBA will ramp the tension up to 11

As frustrating, scary and disappointing a start we have had, Hughes deserves nothing less than our support. Any support that should be going his way that is misdirected to TP will be difficult to stomach.

I've the greatest admiration for what TP did here however his antics last year merit only a level of bile and hatred only one notch below that I feel for the scum from Manchester . The cheating conniving appealing Card brandishing etc we're well beyond necessary and as a result May hell reign down on him from the moment he leaves the sanctuary of the team bus for one I shall be screaming every insult the brain makes available from. Right behind him . All in the name of competition you understand Tony .

It's going to be akin to a hornet's nest on Sat. Tasty.
To be fair, Hughes will have the crowd on his side IF the floodgates don't open against us and IF the players apply necessary physicality.
Having the crowd on his side could be crucial for this one in terms of willing the players on to succeed. Lose us and it'll turn pretty ugly.

Any support that should be going his way that is misdirected to TP will be difficult to stomach. It could work in Hughes's favour the way Pulis acted last season has left a very bitter taste in many Stokie's mouths, contrary to what some of the Hughes rimmers want you to believe I have no affiliation for Pulis, I used to respect him for what he did for our club but never the methods he used or the style of football, by the way I still want Hughes out for the good of our club.

That's all good and I agree with the support, however our defence is an absolute shambles right now and without Butland in goal it makes it even worse. The way we have been letting four in on a regular basis does not fill anyone with confidence. The way we are playing right now, I'd be surprised to see another clean sheet, that's how bad things are.

So many things are aligning to make this potentially one of the most memorable matches we've ever had at our current stadium, both on and off the pitch. This one really matters for all sorts of reasons.
I can't remember wanting us to win a match so badly in years.

They are very good at set pieces and physical. I'd say it's an almighty car crash waiting to happen. First corner, 0-1 game over. We can't score they may add more. Hope I'm wrong but it's how I see it.

admin this needs pinning and all stokies need to get behind the team saturday. pulis had his welcome back last year and deserves no further recognition following his and his teams antics home and away last season.
we need hostile boos when they have the ball circa those boxing day 2008 v man utd, tony pulis your football is shit
coates has spoken tonight, mark hughes is going nowhere just yet, the team need your support regardless of whether you want hughes gone or not.

I don't believe it's all Hughes, something else is amiss. Is it confidence? Who knows, but keep performing like this, It'll take a good while to recover.

Right behind him . All in the name of competition you understand Tony . Well said benji. I only differ from you in "level of bile"; I'm giving TP the same level of bile I give Arsehole Whinger. Given that we all accept that the amount of hostility we give Wenger has an affect on the result against Arsenal, to not do the same against WBA is failing to offer our own team the support they need. Any applause for any representative of the opposition, is support for the opposition. Stoke fans should support Stoke 100%.

I'm in the Hughes needs to go camp but I'll be singing his name and giving 100% support.
If he can turn it round and make this season great then it'll prove every doubter wrong and make us all look like cunts. Which I'm happy to be. Although I highly doubt it ha ha
