Is there really much of a conundrum when you weigh it all up? A man with a handle on the club, settling in his recruitment model, loads of players out of contract/loan after spending two years laying the FFP groundwork. Is trying to play a good brand of football that we are seeing in fits and starts. Fundamentally not much is broken just a frustrating fag paper difference between the top teams and where we are. We could rip it all up and start again, or we could be sensible and give him another go next year. No discussion for me. He has to stay and be backed as much as possible. We have a problem with teams who are willing to let us dominate possession. This means we often struggle against weaker teams. I don't have an easy solution but working on set pieces would be a good start.

Avoiding relegation in the first season was definitely a success

One result against a poor Millwall doesn't change the situation. I don't think he's suddenly going to turn things around after two seasons of performances and results dropping off a cliff from November onwards. He needs to go and anything less is just putting off the inevitable - which the board are very good at admittedly. He needs to go ! Amazing we lose to a team and they are poor and we should be beating them we beat a team and they are are poor and we should be beating them. 9 games unbeaten and top of the form table and exactly the sort team that would normally beat us. It's a really good result. Now we need to do it again.

I’ve finally figured out our problem… We have bad players. You’re welcome. Individual some are quite good, but they play like strangers

I agree Rooney has pedigree and has far exceeded the level of maturity I expected in what must be a very difficult first job in management. But also an easy one because there has been no pressure so far this year. Now he has a real chance of avoiding the drop the pressure is on we shall see Actually I agree with you just being difficult

Referee again. The most blatant dive of the season and no yellow card. Premier league league rules tonight

4 points from the play offs but we need Powell fit for the next 15 games

It's been consistently soggy all winter not that much rainfall but nothing has ever dried out. It's the weather to blame and of course there are more games in the championship

Frustrating but you just knew it would be one of those games. Given our poor record of getting back into games I’d be surprised if we equalise now. Very frustrating and about to be 7 points behind forest.

We need somewhere between 70-80pts to make the playoffs, 75 usually gets you there - so another 37pts from 20 games. 10 wins, 7 draws, 3 defeats. Really tall order. Boro , Forest , Coventry. Bournemouth. , WBA , Huddersfield . Blackburn , all away so its not tall its 14 peaks magnitude top half still a challenge for me looking a that lot As we are better away than at home why is that a problem?

Well if we win our two games in hand, we will overtake Huddersfield in 6th place so then we just need to score more points than the team in 7th Simples With Powell back and if new players continue to play well this should not be impossible

Unless he's leaving, there's no reason why Brown is starting ahead of him He had a really bad injury caught covid and got a post operative infection, needed 2 more operations and 5 days in hospital with no visitors. Believe it or not recovery is not easy he won't be back to his best until next season

I could watch Fulham every week fast, precise, devastating attacking football and a real dirty streak. They will win the league and fully deserve it.

so given how Fulham have emphasised what a threat they are atm what's a good result ? surely a draw would be excellent? low scoring defeat respectable? then go & beat Cov? guess it depends on how the game goes, Fulham could chuck in a lousy performance (they will at some point). Given how blackburn have done since losing 0-7 I'm hoping for a repeat

Agreed.  However, we have no cash to splash anymore, so we are scraping the barrel.  Injuries to Powell and Souttar sucked the heart out of the team. We managed ok without one, but losing both was big.  Bringing back a fat, unfit Campbell made things worse.  Losing Fletcher won’t help either.  All teams have the same problem though Take Mo Salah and van Dijk out of Liverpool and see how much they win.

What does Clucas have to do to get dropped? Not be the only fit midfielder available?

Sorry Michael, how many more times do we have to watch sides completely outplay us at home, even Derby... skint etc etc. Where is our passion, commitment, I could go on but probably like so many supporters I've just about had enough. And before I get slated, I first went in 1955 and me and her gave been season ticket holders for over 50 years. In all that time I can't remember such a disorganised and spineless team. You must have a really short memory
