I know that there are quite a few on here who like him, but unfortunately we will never be a decent team with him leading the line.
He wasn’t the reason we lost tonight, however he’s a forward who cannot hold the ball. We didn’t even get a chance to move up the field. He just doesn’t win anything, or the ball bounces off him. Then balls go in the box and he rarely looks a threat.
He runs around, but so little quality.

Hopeless 3 games running, works hard but doesn’t hold it up or carry any threat. He hasn’t the technical skill to create something himself either

He will be playing league two football within a couple of seasons.

Do we know if he’s definitely out of contract in the summer? We’d be mental to offer any kind of extension.

He was abject tonight. Utterly appalling

He was piss poor tonight - again! Let's be honest though he wasn't the only one. Gouranga.

Fletcher and Campbell to start Fridee please, unless they've both been sold by then.

Needed to be subbed at 2nd half not Wright-Phillips but well O'Neill loves him too much that even if he breaks a leg he'll still be on the pitch for 90 mins.

Both the strikers played well last game, the tactics were the issue as they hardly got a kick all game.

I like him because he always gives 100 percent but he just isn’t a good enough footballer. He might weigh in with 10-12 goals by the end of the season but
he can’t hold onto the ball is technically poor never seems to be anywhere crossed that are dying to be banged in
He’s ok for a struggling club but we need better if we want to progress

He will be playing league two football within a couple of seasons. Could be with us, if O'Neill persists with some of his team selections and tactics(whatever they are).

Both the strikers played well last game, the tactics were the issue as they hardly got a kick all game. I didn’t think he was good on Saturday either to be honest. He’s just such a limited footballer & nights like tonight just highlight it. You want your striker to battle and get hold of the ball. Win fouls, bring others into play, or even just a moment of magic but with Brown you get very little of that. Just hard work with very little end product.

Stokes top scorer Brown? That Brown? The Brown who is best running the channels either side of a main striker - who has proven time and again he is not the main striker type - but who keeps getting played by the manager as the main striker.
yeah, toss /s

How he’s the only striker that played tonight is baffling. Fletcher should have started and Campbell off the bench. The fact neither of those happened is ridiculous.

He's absolutely useless as is Tymon.

Terrible but never has been a striker and really should only be used when winning and heading someone to run a round a lot to annoy the opposition.

Both the strikers played well last game, the tactics were the issue as they hardly got a kick all game. Brown wasn't good on Saturday. I said so after the match. No strength, no reading of the game, no goal threat, very little technique. He's better used as a sub coming on when the opposition are tired. I would imagine, as was the case with Batth that the opposition think let him have the ball cos he can't do anything constructive with it.

Not good enough, period!!! Working hard is just papering over the cracks, he doesn't possess any ability!!!
I'll say it again, he's a league one player at BEST, and yet O'Neil sees him fit enough to play every week for us???
Truly bizarre!!!

His limitations were there to be seen again tonight. Has zero ability to hold the ball. To be fair, he wans't helped by anyone else in red & white either!

Can’t remember ever having a striker that spends as much time on the ground as him.
Pretty much every challenge he goes into he ends up on his arse.

He's absolutely useless as is Tymon. At least Tymon offers plenty in games with a couple of stinkers, tonight he took on the Allen role where he couldn't pass the ball to anyone in red and white stripes but had a gift for finding a player in sky blue!

Half the problem is getting a decent ball in to him. As shown he’s got the movement to get in to good positions.
His goal at hull showed that and clucas actually put in a decent cross.
Defender tonight had to make a good block otherwise brown had a tap in.
Definitely isn’t a leading striker and doesn’t have the ability to create a goal himself but to be our top scorer shows he can do it.
He’s the best we are going to get untill we can spend more than 3m on a striker

He’s a terrible player who gets picked week in week out by a terrible manager!!!!
