That's what I'd play but I suspect he'll have Wilmot in at right back. I suspect that too. In fairness I'm not fussed with either. Wilmot is a way better defender but not a right back. Smith is quicker and better going forward but still not a right back.

I think Smith will be off in the summer so I suspect the manger would rather give minutes to Wilmot. It’s definitely a position that should be top of our priorities in the next transfer window.

Swansea had a player sent off tonight, so he won't be available for them on Tuesday. Also looked dead on their feet at the end the amount of defending they had to do in the last 20-30 minutes was ridiculous. Not that that will probably affect them. It seems to be only us that have problems with recovery.

I think he might go with Brown, Swansea concede a lot of chances when they’re dicking about at the back and are pressed.

Bursik Smith Jagielka THB Tymon Baker Allen Campbell Powell JPB Maja Pretty much what I'd go with apart from I'd swap Allen for Clucas. (Yes, yes, I know, but we've all seen multiple times already how Clucas turns into the world's greatest ever player against this opposition).

Anyone else a bit excited by the thought of having an actual selection headache which hasn’t been inflicted by injuries or suspensions. Feels like the best squad in a long time. Hopefully we put in a good performance now and get the 3 points

In fairness I'm not fussed with either. Wilmot is a way better defender but not a right back. Smith is quicker and better going forward but still not a right back. In the 10 games that Powell played for us before injury, Smith assisted him three times. I would love to see that partnership back on.

Bursik Smith Jagielka THB Tymon Baker Allen Campbell Powell JPB Maja I was deffo going to agree with this line-up until I remembered it was Swansea and wondered how I could shoe horn Sam Clucas into the line-up.

Clucas has to start doesn’t he?
Give Powell a rest and use him at Forest.
I’d like to see:
Bursik
Smith Jagielka THB Tymon
Allen Baker Clucas
Campbell Maja JPB

I’d like to see: Bursik Smith Jagielka THB Tymon Allen Baker Clucas Campbell Maja JPB Even if Clucas has a good game, which isn’t really a guarantee. This team is still generally crap without Powell. I like Baker, but he hasn’t shown me he is a playmaker yet. We’d have three good attackers and then no one behind them to link up play. It’d be just like Huddersfield for the first 60 minutes.

Bursik Smith Jagielka THB Tymon Baker Allen Campbell Powell JPB Maja I think he'll return to at 3 at the back formation which is his favourite method, and he now has more cds to choose from. He could rest Allen, whose legs are not really up to playing so much, although he'll probably send him on in the second half to protect our lead. Then Joe will pass straight to a Swansea player and our lead will be gone.

Bursik
Wilmot Jags Moore Tymon
Baker Allen
Campbell Powell JPB

I’d go for Wilmot in a 4 rather than Smith as he’s more solid.
Allen ahead of Thompson as Thompson looks like he’s still fighting for fitness.
Campbell played well yesterday and has earnt another start.
Bit hard on Brown but i think he’s a perfect impact sub. When he starts I find his misreading of the game a bit frustrating. Can’t fault his effort though.

Clearly fans aren't considered in having these midweek fixtures. Swansea to Stoke is a 5 hour journey

It is but he’s coming back from months off and still needs easing back into the side. We can’t imo start him for 3 games in a row in 7 days. It’s too much too soon.
