Over the last few games the pitch is cutting up badly and today was the worst I have seen it since the ground opened. Whilst appreciating loads of rain recently, that never used to cause problems. Just watching Citeh v Spuds, despite the rain their pitch looks immaculate. just like ours used to be.

Yeah, definitely worth comparing our pitch with the richest club in the world's.

I can't remember the pitch being that bad since we moved to there. It's shocking.

It was kind of nostalgic, like being back in 1972.

Someone was mentioning a few weeks back, hasn't groundsman Andy Jackson left to do the pitches at St. Georges Park? May or mag not be linked It was me mentioned after being told but then was told it was rubbish and he hasn’t gone! Thinking about it today we had it relaid early during the covid hit season so maybe it’s overdue to be done again and we will just keep it going till the end of the season? Another guy said maybe we have had it cut shorter to help us play a certain way which is a possibility too. Either was it wasn’t our normal standard.

Can’t imagine the manager will be too enamoured by it either.
We get Green Thumb round on ours if they need the number?

questions need to be asked why a Champ pitch looks like a Sunday league one

It's been consistently soggy all winter not that much rainfall but nothing has ever dried out. It's the weather to blame and of course there are more games in the championship

Yes they are.... QPR's was at least as bad as ours and that was back in december so would hate to see what its like now. Hulls wasn't in great nick either from what I remember, nor Huddersfields

Some weird lines on the left as you look from the Boothen. Seeing as it's been raining since November, it's not too bad I guess.

But still doesn't mean ours has to be bad. If other teams can do it in the Premier so should we. It doesn't take millions to keep a pitch

Yeah, definitely worth comparing our pitch with the richest club in the world's. Yeah, because they use special billionaires grass and the point raised isn't valid at all.👍🏼

Sounds like a drainage issue. Can't dry out because it's always sopping wet.
Just get one of your local illegal growers to come take a look at it. It could create a dream job for somebody.
Now where's my hydroponic vacuum? Naw, the Dyson one with the ball!

The trouble is, it's a premier league pitch. When we bought it it was expecting to be hosting your Man Citys and your Liverpools. I think it doesn't want to be in tne championship and is trying to force a move in the summer.
The fact no one's come in for it speaks volumes imho.

Erm Winter, two storms in a week, lots of rain perhaps? The point is that this is probably the worst it’s been in 25 years, so it’s more noteworthy than just the usual winter wear and tear. Yes it chucked it down this week but it’s been cutting up badly for weeks now and January was actually unusually dry this year.

Possibly the odd pre season game but not regular games.
