I can't believe I've gone from "Paul fucking Lambert" to coming around to the idea & being ok with it, to now actually really liking the bloke... All in the space of what, three days? And that TDC is why it's probably best that none of us are professionally employed in the game! :-) Well that and I am absolutely rubbish at football

I've always thought Alexis Sanchez as overrated personally.. I'm aware that's a bit of a riccyfuller statement but he gives the ball away far too often for a supposedly top player. yeah he keeps giving the ball to the back of the net.

Cant be any worse than Tymon. Like watching a sunday league defender That much at least is true. You two had better be careful you have both implied that Wimmer is not the worst player in the history of the world EVER!!!! This is serious breach of Oatcake rules.

Lose on Satdee and we will be effectively 8 points behind this lot due to the goal difference and we already need a couple of wins on the bounce just to get out of the bottom four. We're starting to drift and I just hope that Lambert has an immediate impact on spirit and fitness. Even my wife asked me why we looked knackered second half We were 2 nil down at old Trafford the game was lost, done, over, all that was left was damage limitation.

Why bother, the lazy sack of shit isn't going to miraculously change his shitty attitude over night is he. Because he has 3 years left on his contract and we going to be paying him a lot of money?

He'll get money, pretty pointless giving him a long term contract if we're going to put the handbrake on him from the get go. Agree they chose him for the job and they will back him in the window, only trouble is 15 days left what sort of deals will we be able to get done They didn't exactly chose him though did they? Three other people had very publicly rejected the offer and you can bet many more rejected it outhand privately as well.

If we sell Butland in January he might get some of that to spend.

Hopefully we can now really start signing some players we so urgently need. I don't think he will get any money to spend. This appointment says they have accepted relegation.

I would go for Jokanovic - His record in the championship is excellent (Got Watford Promoted and cleared out the dead wood at Fulham and has built a young, dynamic side that made the play-offs last season and are hitting form again right now) What makes you think he would want the job?

Really I think the plan is Championship You genuinely think the plan is to take us into the Championship? Or you think our strategy is so shit (or non existent) that it will take us into the Championship. Two very different things albeit with a similar outcome. Bit of both the club is being badly run, but it has been noted that we have a major rebuilding job to stay in the premiership, we need 8 or 9 new first 11 players who would cost a fortune to buy and want a fortune in wages. Playing in championship would mean less income but less outgoings as well, they might have decided that it is the cheaper more sustainable option. Think of the positives more local derbies (may be not against Derby but Shrewsbury ), no queuing for the toilet or a half time pie.

No in January (or 1 billion pounds if you are that desperate) get QSF in start playing properly and sell him for £50 million+ in the summer.
At the moment he is not playing well and not worth a big fee.

In the current market for an English player you would assume it would be a fee like this (well it would be if he played for Southampton). I don’t think he will be that difficult to replace, there are plenty of decent keepers about and the standard across the premier league is extremely high. Begovic went for £12m this summer and Jack is no better than Asmir, if we get a silly offer he should go. Begovic is a Canadian Bosniak, Butland is English and will be England first choice goalkeeper the second he signs for a big club. The fact that couldn't catch a cold at the moment is irrelevant.

Anyone concerned about a 5 year term? Would have been much happier with 3 year plus a guaranteed extension if we remain in the Premier league in 3 years time. Couldn’t care less... aint my cash 😁 Makes absolutely no difference how long the contract is the pay off will be a year or less. Big Sam Aladyce has pointed this out several times.

Skybet now gone Flores 8/11 with O'Neil out to 7/4. I got on him at 7/1 this morning. It's clearly a reflection of the money coming in (in light of the Ballague tweets) rather than anything else though. As the crazy Billic gamble shows. I think we can safely say Skybet know less than John Snow.

Typical Oatcake "fans" scream and cry about sacking LMH and how wank he is and we are. Set sights on past their sell by date beige managers and state we will never make anything of ourselves. Fuck off elsewhere then nothing to see at Stoke. One word "LEICESTER" Yes but it was impossible for them to win the league. A realistic target is 7th but Martin O'Neill did get Villa to sixth three seasons running (they were 16th the year before he took over) and won the League cup twice with LEICESTER and took Celtic to the top in Scotland after years of Rangers dominance and took Celtic to the UEFA cup final. He has shown what a second tier Premier league club can achieve and achieved it.

I don't know a single stoke fan that thinks we should be in the top 6. We could be with the right appointment and investment however i fear for us with the piss we'er being linked with. It would need truly huge spending hundreds of millions over several years at least a billion in total to make a club outside the top 6 into a regular top 6 club and I don't think the Coastes family have got it. They certainly don't want to spend it.

Reading through some of the comments on Twitter about Roy Keane & Stoke and the constant references to 'Legbreakers' stadium is actually making me warm to him. If that's what tweeters think Bring It On. tweeters think? Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
