I think this will happen especially now Liverpool will have £146m from Coutinho sale - so if that is the case we must maximize the fee given their available spend. I say we start at £50m fee for him - remember they paid £75m for Van Dyke

I don't think he'll go until the summer, unless it was stupid money, but if we did do it, don't do what Southampton did. Get your players in first, then sell or it's pants down on every target we go for.

In a Minolet plus cash deal, i can see this happening.

Butland can go - shocking today and has had a poor season - because he’s England’s no 2 we’re blind to his form - Grant is prem standard and we should back him

According to what I have watched these 2 seasons, and I know most of you will not like it:
1- Grant is better than Butland 2- Butland is better than Mignolet and Karius

We should say 40m that’s our price. However an offer of 25m will see us panic and sell as quick as we can

He’s not been up to his usual standard this season. If he carries on playing the way he has his value will depreciate with the money they have I’d say 30m + one of their players on loan. Maybe that young Welsh lad.

If they see his attempt at saving their winning goal today, i suspect they may well look elsewhere.

Butland is young and got great potential Beaten near post today was poor BUT he will become THE England keeper once at Liverpool and will become fantastic, and will win them the title in the next five years

Any keeper no matter what ability needs to trust his back line If you watched today he went mental several times at his defender He is a good keeper who deserves better

Wow just wow I didn't know both of them 2 years ago. Last season, Grant was perfect for me, he was "Man of the match" in many games in my opinion, he had a poor game this season and I forget the opponent but last season he was perfect. Butland is very good too, in addition to that he is much younger and he will have a bright future but according to performance in last 2 years Grant is better for me.

Yes he's a class keeper, but (there's always a but) this season he hasn't lived up to his incredibly high standards like he did last season. His kicking, decision making and decisiveness in terms of commanding the area has sometimes been poor this season.
No way am I slating England's should be number 1 but there's aspects of his performance this season that makes one wonder and obviously would be gutted if he'd leave as he's practically un replaceable for a club of our size.
Someone on another thread quoted him being better than both Courtois and Ederson which is a bit extreme.
There was games last season where he practically won us and without him we'd have most likely gone down but that hasn't been the same this season, possibly because of the shower of shite surrounding him.

All I can say is I hope they have not been watching too much footage of him this season.
He has been extremely average and possibly could have done better with both goals again today. Possibly our most disappointing player this season and needs dropping on current form.

When he was top of his game 45mill no less, realistically being stoke it'll be 30 mill with no sell on clause

The confidence of the whole team has been shot to pieces for quite a while. The relief of knowing that they don’t have to follow the instructions of idiots will have a calming effect on the players, which is one of the reasons why most teams get a new-manager bounce. Let’s hope we bring in someone that has the personality as well as the experience to turn things around. Sam Allardyce would have been perfect but that train has left the station and I doubt he would have come anyway.

I think Butland is ace and England #1 but Grant is just fine in the sticks and a good keeper. We could make bank on the transfer and fix other areas while also getting a new GK as cover.

The price for a young future England No. 1 goalkeeper - and quite possibly the best Goalkeeping prospect in terms of England right now - for a career that will likely span 14-16 more years, should be on parity with what they just payed for a Dutch centre back, if not more.
£75m-£100m
At the lowest end at least £50m.
Alas, I can see him going for £17m like Begovic.
While he's under contract they should hold Liverpool to ransom, based on their transfer history.
