He was unemployed and wanted a job, and its not really his fault that he got elected.
I hope he gets our full support from the start, another van stating "Lambert out" would really make us a laughing stock. He is here now and there is nothing we could do about it.
We are not thrilled he got the job but lets give him a chance because our Premiership place is at stake.
Who knows, maybe he has learnt something and will be good appointment for us.

If the fans are under-whelmed imagine what the players are thinking?
I imagine the likes of Shaqiri and Sobhi are on the phones to their agents right now as we speak.
Expect transfer requests aplenty in the coming days

Expect transfer requests aplenty in the coming days I would not bet on that. If he charmed our board he probably can charm our players too.

+1. There's nothing we can do about it now so all we'll be doing is making things worse if we don't back the manager and team.

Another clusterfuck by the board, they are seemingly doing their best to destroy this club. I expect we will spend next to nothing this transfer window as well.
The board don’t deserve to be backed and neither does their recent appointment Lambert as by backing him we are backing the board. Whilst it’s not his fault we have given him the job, he is still going to get a lot of shit as soon he loses a game (which won’t take long).
It’s a very sad day for Stoke, feels like the end of an era. We are going down and it may be a long time before we are back.
I’m a very disappointed Stokie today.

Good, glad this farce is all over. Whether we like it or not, this is the guy we have to back and give a chance. Is he really absolutely dog shit? Some on here would say Hughes should be applauded for the first 2.5 years and is dog shit now which is right based on how things have panned out in the last 12 months- i.e. although past history is a judge of what the future may hold, there are many contributing factors in his previous jobs which we may not know the truth about (funds/in-house problems etc). Let's give the guy a fighting chance at least!

Everton also didn't have big Sam as their first choice, All managers have bad times think woy almost relegated a stable club like Blackburn before the venkys took over, and Moyes relegated Sunderland. We have to make the best of it the decision has been made, time to show that... ....united strength is stronger!!!

Hi not a Stoke fan but saw a little of what lambert did at wolves last season. Not a bad job considering circumstances big wealthy owners and him not really knowing whether he would take wanderers forward after keeping them up and a good cup run. The stoke fans not to enamoured by him need to back him. His record at Norwich was bob on and at villa for a time under limited resources. Again kept Blackburn on the right track under difficult owners. I do know he did his coaching badges with loop and has spent time in and around Bayern. Rowett didn’t want it nor did O’Neill and why pay OTT for Flores who I don’t think would be with you longer than a season and a bit. Mark my word Lambert will keep you guys up.

Expect transfer requests aplenty in the coming days He could always just show Shaqiri his Champions League winners medal and say “we might both have one of these sunshine but I actually played in my final” He marked Zizu out of that game, if ever there was a player who embodied triumph over adversity after being wholly written off as worthless. He was even a free transfer to Dortmund. We wanted grit and determination... We just got a bit.

I'll back him, if you look at his playing career and managerial career and compare it to pulis. It looks better. I don't think he has been given the backing to develop a squad of his own. However if he doesn't get backed, then this is the end of a premier league team I'm the potteries for a while.

Get behind Mr Lambert. He has many styles of tactics. If he opts for the Norwich way we are in for a treat.
