Still a long way to go with lots of twists and turns
If we can’t turn it round and go down
1. who would you ‘realistically’ like as manager? 2. Which players would/could we keep?

Lee Johnson From Bristol city, If they don't go up
Who'd have our losers. Might get few quid from shaq. Most would have to be pushed out as clearly they haven't got the fight to get promoted

Players I would like to keep for championship: Choupo, Allen, Shawcross, Bruno, Edwards, Ramadan.. With the exception of Edwards none of them would stay to play championship football and all would be snapped up
All the others will still struggle in the championship

When I saw "if the worst should happen" I assumed it meant if O'Neil and that thug get the managers jobs

When I saw "if the worst should happen" I assumed it meant if O'Neil and that thug get the managers jobs Ok, we get it - you don't like Roy Keane. You don't need to slate him on every thread. He's the ASSISTANT manager. He's not even been appointed yet, theres no definite that he would come if O'Niell did come, chill yourself. Did you care about Bowen's credentials before he was bought in?

We'd get very good money for Jack and Shaq..add that to parachute payments and we'd be in a very very good position to get straight back up...often wondered if that would be the kick up the arse this club needs.
Obviously I don't want us to go down but it wouldn't be the end of the world.
1.A lot of money means realistically we should get right back up (not certain but we should do) 2. The league is more entertaining anyway 3. Chance to find our identity and rebuild with a manager in it for the long term

I would go for Jokanovic - His record in the championship is excellent (Got Watford Promoted and cleared out the dead wood at Fulham and has built a young, dynamic side that made the play-offs last season and are hitting form again right now)

Don't give a fuck who the manager is when we're in the championship as long as we get stripes back on the back of the shirts. Just another bonus to our impending relegation.

If we go down it'll be because we deserve to and the board will have it all to answer for. I'll be looking forward to the start of next season more than this one whatever happens.

I think we'd only lose Shaq, Allen, possibly Moting, the rest are championship standard or certainly looking it, if I was a PL club I don't see anymore I'd be trying to get from us.

IF we were to go down then we've got be signing players like: Barrie McKay, Bobby Reid, James Maddison, Ollie Watkins, Joe Bryan, Tom Cairney etc. Tbh they could all get in our team now.

Formula would be shed players, buy a couple of champ-ready battlers and splash on a goal-scorer. (as Villa, Fulham and Boro all did post relegation). Team would look very distant from today
Inevitable departures: Butland (£25m + add ons to Liv), Allen (£15m to WHU), Sobhi (£8m + add ons), Shaq (£18m to Italy or Germany) Pls god go departures: Imbula (£5m + add ons), Wimmer (£8m), Beharinho (free), Fletcher (free) Possible departures: Crouch (?), BMI (Continent), Ireland (retire or lower leagues), Adam (Rangers)
Incoming: e.g. GK Stephen Bywater (nom), CB Tom Lees (£6m), Winger Jota (£4m), MF Huddlestone (free), Vela (£3m) or Clayton (£5m); Token youngster (Jack Byrne Blackburn £2m + add ons), Expensive CF Dwight Gale (£10m) or Chris Martin (£8m). Loans for likes of CM - Kevin Stewart (Liv), Liam Walsh (Ev) etc Plus a random and opportunistic "free" from Spanish or French second division! Team would look like... Grant Bauer Shawcross Lees Pieters Jota Cameron Clayton Choupa-Moting Ngoy Gale Subs: Bywater, Campbell, Edwards, Stewart, Souttar, Verlinden, RandomNewbee

We have far more money in the prem than we'd get as a parachute payment. We have multi billionaire owners who won't spend to stay in the prem, what makes you think they'd be spending to get out of the championship?

We aren’t tough enough now, and once our best players bail out, we’ll be very, very poor. Coates doesn’t have the ability to attract a decent manager now because all the best candidates have seen the squad and know what we all know - we just aren’t very good.

Purely because his father/agent makes sure he sticks out every single contract he signs unless his club decide to get rid. Which is exactly why he has only ever been free.
