A minority it has to be said there were a few boos and then a few more when the flock caught up.The general consensus around me was disappointment.Totally counterproductive if they had the wit to realise it. Why was it counterproductive mate? Smallbone was as anonymous as he was for 99% of his time here last season. He played a disciplined role and started a lot of what they did well.Thats why he is playing regularly and isn't anonymous.I really don't understand how anyone can't conceive how booing somebody won't motivate them to raise their game.He wasn't 99% anonymous as you know, but we had a couple that were.

All it does is fire the player up. Stupid. That was Smallbone fired up last night then was it? I remember him being fired up for us pretty much every week then. He was utter wank for us, and even though I wouldn't boo him, I don't see any issue with football fan's booing a player who was wank while he was here. You're all falling into the trap of believing Stoke fans are different to any other set of fans..... We aren't. A minority it has to be said there were a few boos and then a few more when the flock caught up.The general consensus around me was disappointment.Totally counterproductive if they had the wit to realise it.

Gooch looked in better shape when they walked in last night about an hour after all the players went in but only because he wasn’t limping/hobbling like Rose🤣 Campbell said another 4 weeks for himself Has Baker had a knee replacement mate? Been "On the grass" for weeks now.As for Campbell being back in four weeks.Dont rush back Ty.

sorry but if they’re fit enough for the bench there fit enough to start That's not the case though is it, players need some easing when coming back due to match fitness, Vidigal looked shot pretty quickly after coming on. He was limping as well 75 minutes in.Hope his early introduction hasn’t buggered him up. We have no one else who looks like scoring to me.

We would sign Leonardo da Vinci on loan and he’d break his finger and draw a picture of a stick man, lose his place to Jordan Thompson then resurface at Coventry or Aberdeen and paint the fucking Mona Lisa. His move to Spurs did him no favours. He was sent back to Leeds for 12 months and hardly kicked a ball.

Boskamp needed all the help he could get,but was too arrogant to accept it.As you say big baby. Give me Bossie over the plethora of shit managers we’ve had since relegation, including the current incumbent, every day of the week. Can't argue with that but he didn't help himself.

I remember him failing to step up and leaving Kevan to be caretaker manager. Also think he was doing Coates's dirty work when the Icelandics were in charge. Note gate was a rum affair. Notegate was Boskamp being a massive baby - I also suspect he had half an eye on the door by that point as well. Boskamp needed all the help he could get,but was too arrogant to accept it.As you say big baby.

No I didn't mean Bristol City did I. I meant Bristol Rovers cus we are playing them on Saturday aren't we? And then it's Leicester Tigers in a few weeks isn't it? Then Stevenage a few weeks after that. Prat. There’s no club called Bristol. I live here, you clearly don’t. I am Gas second and Stoke first. I will be there Saturday (as I am most games) and have to live amongst them when we will no doubt embarrass ourselves again. I’m already getting edgy about it! City fans think they are Bristol, Rovers fans don’t. Are you coming down? BM Were you born in Stoke Mick?

Well I'm going to bed thinking about what I've just watched and waking up at 4am thinking just can't believe why I keep watching it and thinking about the players who just don't cut it for me,I then realised it's just not that easy to categories so i broken it down into 3 groups firstly Players who PROMISED so much top of the list got to be Burger he's got quality but to be honest not much difference than we had before and at 4/5 mill expected alot more, closely followed by Hoever luckily we can send him back Second group DISAPPOINTED top here got to be Pearson I thought he would want to prove he can play at a better level,(would you want your child to play with his attitude) second would be McNally (understand now why he's on loan) Third group GET RID this could be a big group, easy to say Wes but to be honest I didn't expect much from a player only given a 12 month contract so top would be Campbell he's had enough time to prove himself, then probably Pearson just don't understand why he thinks he can act how he does and not get punished,I understand he's there to stop the other team from playing but he's just a lability, In saying all of this there's only really one person to blame for giving me nightmares and that's the management god help us if this is the best he can muster,,rant over Baffling that Rose has escaped your ire.Hopeless as weak as piss and does nothing of note on the positive side.

I liked the first Huddersfield attack where (Rose?) got nudged off the ball and then channelled Phil Wollscheid for a few seconds. Gonna say, Rose set the scene in that first Huddersfield attack Weak as piss is Rose.Pathetic defending from him for both goals.

Was brilliant. Assume he was taken off due to tiredness? As he was still our best player when he was taken off. He was knackered, as were Berger and Campbell…… Knackered is Campbells default setting.

Hate his teams with a passion but he actually comes across, away from footie, as a really genuine, caring guy. I'd love to have a beer with him and find out what he is REALLY like He's a dirty rotten guts twat, when he loses, like a lot of people.Nothing mysterious about Colin.

Well I had him penned in as our next captain, now I'm not so sure, morphing into a middle of the road champ Glen whelan Hope he does become a Glenn whelan. Well he's getting singled out for dogs abuse as was Whelan,so it's a start.

It will if he is wanting stupid money and a long contract. His current malaise isn't conjusive to either. Pretty sure he isn’t in a malaise. He is our only/most likely source of goals bar Vidigal. Some Stoke fans don’t like him, we’ve heard it a million times before. Play Leris he runs about a lot, play Wesley he’s really strong, play Mmaee he looks even more lethargic than Campbell but he’s just arrived from Xanadu. So you want a player in your side who blows out of his arse after a short sprint, who can’t or won’t compete for the ball, and doesn’t run off the ball,on the off chance he might get you a goal now and again it’s your prerogative.I and many others don’t.He may have been offered a contract,he may not have been. However his contract demands I would have thought wouldn’t match his performance levels as they are.If he continues as he at the moment I will be glad to see him gone.If he’s not in a malaise then what do you attribute his appalling fitness levels too?

If Campbells form continues he won't be offered a new contract. And it will look good business not to have offered him a new contract this summer. It will if he is wanting stupid money and a long contract. His current malaise isn't conjusive to either.

Not sure. There’s plenty of game time to spread the minutes around. The longer Campbells contract issue to continues to roll on, the more likely he is to be benched and the others may turn out to be a bit brittle and pick up injuries. ATM mick Campbell should be on the bench along with hoever and Laurent. See if AN has the balls to drop em. Don't think there's any question of him having the balls is there? He hooked four at half time at Millwall including the Captain.

I could see the same happening here. Maybe not necessarily with him, but we have a dearth of options for those wide areas now and Neil has a job keeping them all happy. He needs to have some idea of a settled side because swapping it game after game isn't going to help anybody. From the first few games and provided his injury is nothing sinister, Vidigal looks to have played himself into the one position whilst the others battle it out for the other. Leris, Campbell, Haksabanovic, Mmaee & possibly Bae fighting it out for the other side will leave at least one feeling a bit pissed off. I hope he's not given himself too much of a selection headache. To be fair, Mmaee is a striker, Bae is an attacking midfielder and Campbell isn't with it at all at the moment, if he isn't going to sign a new contract we may as well leave him out until he leaves. Leris hasn't impressed me at all yet, but time will tell, he looks an absolute like for like remake of Brown to be fair, which for the difference in transfer fees, is actually a snip. I'm actually hoping Haksabanovic is very good as with Vidigal on one side and whichever striker in the centre, we're actually limited for real quality on the other wing. Jojic looks to be way too early in his development from the small cameos he's had, think he'll need more development time. If Mmaee proves himself physically then I can see the midfield/ attack being close to: Pearson, Burger, (and I like Laurent but I just don't think he fits into the best team we can put out), then Johnson/ Bae to fight for the attacking midfield/ 10 role. With Vidigal, Mmaee and then Haksabanovic/ Leris on the other side. But its early doors for everyone so we don't really know I guess. If Campbells form continues he won't be offered a new contract.

Might be controversial but I rate him. He’s a game changer when he’s on it, but he’s inconsistent. If he wasn’t he wouldn’t be playing for us. He looks garbage when he’s up against teams that sit back and defend deep as he thrives on space in behind. Don’t think playing on the left suits him and I think our set up today was poor from the manager. We should stick with him, quality player He played on the left and right today, and was piss poor in both positions.Stick with him and it will be more of the same I’m afraid.

Leris can play on the left as he showed last night. The lad from Colchester plays on the right and so wouldn't be a replacement anyway. I'm sure he can in a pinch, but not as our main man (if Stevens gets injured). Also he's clearly right-footed. I thought we didn't like players playing out of position? Tymon is at a stage in his career where he needs to and wants to be playing games.Totally counterproductive to keep a player on the off chance he may play, when there is I would assume a fairly decent offer being made for his services. The manager has to consider the player in all this and if he wants to leave to get games, then it would surely be best all round, rather than have a disillusioned and potentially disruptive player around the dressing room.

Imbula away at Chelsea looked like an absolute world beater. Got an away game at tottenham in my head aswell, think Sorensen got injured in the warm up(?) so Simonsen had to step in last minute & played a blinder. The Simonson performance sprung to mind the moment I read the thread title. He was absolutely superb that day.

Campbell and Laurent have been rightly slated for some of their performances.Tonight both played well.Footballers are only as good as their last game. If footballers were only as good as their last game, you'd have 3/4 or more changes every game. Even Guardiola or Klopp wouldn't drop someone because their previous game wasn't up to their usual standard. You can't have your players worried that they are 'on trial' every game as they would be s--t scared to do anything in case they made a mistake. I was commenting from a fans perspective with regards to the criticism players get.

You get a good offer for a player who isn't going to feature then you have to balance the books surely. That's why I said that if we're signing someone else, it's fine. If not, and you're close to FFP or something, you sell and promote a youngster. But then you need to be ready for criticism for not planning ahead when we inevitably get an injury. Does Thompson as LWB sound like a plan? Because that has already happened. Leris can play on the left as he showed last night. The lad from Colchester plays on the right and so wouldn't be a replacement anyway.
