What has happened to him?
Looks a pale imitation of last year?
4 year comfy contract?

I'm not a member of the "OMG! Pearson has totally transformed us club" but I'm not sure he's done much wrong so far? Been pretty solid in my opinion excepting the fact that he's a yellow card horder.

I thought yesterday he was one of the better players. Skied a shot 15 yards over the bar from the edge of the box but apart from that. Preston were having no luck trying to break through in the first half and it was because he was mopping up. Exactly what he's here for.

I think he's been carrying a bit of a niggle, hopefully this 2 week break will help him.

Well I had him penned in as our next captain, now I'm not so sure, morphing into a middle of the road champ Glen whelan

All but the staff and facilities are new to him...I thought he was ok yesterday and given time him and Burger could strike up a decent partnership...he didn't play the week before so it's a bit too soon to be judging him just yet.

Pearson is a top player but at the minute he looks off it for me I personally don’t think he looks up to match fitness yet so hopefully this 2 weeks will improve that

Agree to be honest. He's been a bit of a passenger in the midfield battles, yesterday, Millwall and Ipswich. I always thought he was ok, and what we needed but this season he's done very little and games have passed him by. Had about 15 mins yesterday but yet again they bossed the midfield. Becoming a common occurrence as teams know exactly how to set up against and we have no answer.

For me he is a Stoke player so he gets my support, you cannot be 100% every minute of every day, if you were you would be playing for a champions league side not a championship side, so let’s get behind all our players and stop bitching about them

I don't think it helped yesterday that he picked up a booking so early. He needs to work on his discipline. I think that is the main reason he wasn't made captain.

Top player at this level.
Last season he performed well and showed us exactly what we had been missing.
This season the whole team are going through a period of transition. Him and Burger will be a formidable pairing before long.

Sometimes he drops so deep he's almost playing between the CB's,don't know if that's a tactical thing,a fitness thing,or just his natural instinct.
But if Pearson plays we need two more midfielders who can carry and move the ball quicker and with more forward intent than he does.

I don't see this tough guy/enforcer that some see. Players just glide past him. Only option is foul (on the occasions that he can get close enough). As for that trip yesterday - not 'shithousery' for me. Unless shithousery is the kind of stuff you see from a disinterested 7 year old.

He’s been fine, nothing special but not shite or a passenger.
I don’t get the big fuss about him, he’s a decent player but that’s it. It’s like we’d gotten so used to seeing those wastrels Clucas and Allen that as soon as someone came along that could pass it 20 yards and didn’t run around like they’d just done 5 nights out worth of coke right before KO and thought it was the second coming of Gascoigne. And of top of that he gets booked for stupid stuff, don’t mind smart yellows but talking yourself into a booking is amateur.

Had a spell yesterday but seem to run out of steam

Can we please stop acting like our players aren’t good because we lost a game. Pearson does what he does, and he did it well again yesterday bar the silly booking.

Pearson is a top player but at the minute he looks off it for me I personally don’t think he looks up to match fitness yet so hopefully this 2 weeks will improve that I also dont think he looks really match fit, which is disappointing as he was one of our first signings so has had a full preseason with the fitness team. But still he doesn't seem ready for 90mins.

He was ok yesterday. Not great but ok.
We have many other problems to worry about (Laurent, Campbell and Hoever). Pearson is the least of the issues.

I'm sorry but that's just absolute nonsense. He's one of the few players who always shows for the ball. At times he drops to far back to receive the ball from the centrebacks.

'Biddulph referred to ' 'those wastrels Clucas and Allen'
Can't let this go. I know they're not our players anymore but whatever you think about Joe Allen and his so called limitations, 'a Wastrel' is grossly unfair. To a rather lesser extent it's not really fair on Clucas either.
