If its true that Scholes has gone over to try and sort it out asap then its good work by Stoke as it minimises any chances of anyone else coming in for him. For all we know he could of agreed the deal last night and Zigic could be getting ready to fly back with Scholes today and be unveiled tonight on the pitch ala Lee Hendrie. Or am i just getting a bit carried away

i think the current situation regarding all these point deductions is crap the teams what went into administration had no other choice but to go in to adminstration. Had Bournemouth and Luton not gone into administration then they would of stayed up and yet now they are being punished for the second time by having more points taken off them and ruining another season for them. how are they meant to try and get better if they have points knocked of for 2 seasons in a row? Fans will become disillusoned with the club and stay away and then they will go back into administration and incurr another 10 point deduction. If the FA want to take points away from clubs in Admin then let them but only in the season they go into Admin only take points of them in the next season if they try to do a leeds and go in to administration as soon as they are relegated
You can see why shotton and Da laet didnt want sign for bournemouth now

Davef there is also rumour from their board that they are after a premiership midfielder not just Walton pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?t=21138thats the thread the rumour has come from. i also think they may be reading to much into Pulis interview with there local rag last week where he supposedly said he would help them out and loan/sell a few polayers to them

i agree bayern something smells fishy if coates hadnt of said today that players would be leaving it wouldnt of bothered me as much. But it begs the point why Plymouth?(if it is plymouth hes off to) as its a very strange career move because for someone who has just got 2 full caps with his national side and looks certain to be first choice for us this season along with Seyi you wouldnt think they would then go and drop down a divison to a club tipped to really struggle this season who are only half the size of us
|
|
|
Post by stokecity4eva on Aug 5, 2008 23:11:29 GMT
also why would any player such as Whelan who has got the potential to play really well this season with us and earn a move to a more established club in the Prem and also cement a place in ROI squad want to go to a club like Plymouth, who quite frankly arent even half the size of us and tommorrow will shell out 750k for Walton which will be a tenth of there yearly revenue. he could do way better than plymouth if he were to leave us.
Fullermagic he apparntly didnt sign for them in Jan as he wanted 10k and that is the highest they would ever go

Bayern i agree and id be very worried if Pulis actually let him go as like you've said on their board he's probably our best CM and has got bags and bags of potential. him and Seyi right now have got to be our number 1 option in the middle.
Although if this goes through then maybe Pulis will be signing Walters to play on the right and push Lawrence in to the centre where hes supposed to play his best football.
Really worried right now

on the plymouth board they seem to think if we get 2 more midfielders in then he will be allowed to leave, i dont think we will get another 2 in now especially now rudi aint signing

Squeekster got a link to the article?
Bayern only posted this because Whelan didnt play and i saw the link on team talk and with plymouth not being to far away from southampton it aint to far for him to drive down have a chat and be back in time for when the players return tommorrow
