I reckon TP's renowed patience may pay off in the pursuit of these 3. Riggott went back to Boro and Southgate said sorry to him, but according to a poster here last week he has not been figuring much in pre-season for Boro so maybe unsettled again...good time for TP to nail his signing? Ipswich have been rumoured to be on the verge of a big signing, eg Nugent or that Greek guy we are interested in from Nuremberg. Maybe Walters is on hold until Ipswich get their signing first...fits in maybe with TP's recent spiel about the market now starting to move? As for McCulloch, with Rangers out of Europe surely the lure of The Premiership is better than Motherwell or Dundee???? Go get em TP

Surely we need 3 more defensive midfielders first ? Maybe Richard Hughes ?

I noted that Villa signed two good full backs yesterday.

Are those 2 full backs as good as Griffin, Wilkinson, Dickinson and Buxton though ?

Surely they won't let Riggott go until they've replaced Young?

I would say so, Luke Young was playing for England a year or so ago.

We desperately need some defenders, full backs mainly, Riggy filled in well their last season.

Maybe TP will switch back to Riggott now it looks unlikely that Keane will sell us Higgy???

Riggy could well be cheaper than Higgy - younger and more PL experience as well.

Riggot would be a much better option than Higgy, haven't really followed Riggy in pre season though
