A bloke who I work with is a Villa fan. He has just come into my office and asked me to show him on the club website which is the main stand at Stoke. He has just purchased 10 tickets over the telephone from the ticket office at Stoke for him and 9 other Villa fans in block 16. He is picking them up from the ticket office on the day of the match.
He also asked me if they would be safe in that part of the ground, what could I say apart from "why the bloody hell have Stoke sold them tickets"?
He has even asked me about parking, I have told him to park their cars behind the Last Orders pub in Stoke and catch a bus.

He told me that they have virtually sold out their allocation.

I can see loads of trouble in the season to come. The news papers don't report on the fighting much in premier league for one reason or another. From what I heard , it was rife last season in the top league

Did they not have to provide an ID card, DNA or donation to Scholes kids private school to obtain these tickets?

Load of bollocks, why not buy for their own end, they are still available. Talk like this is where nasty rumours start.

You should e-mail this to Tony Scholes. I can just imagine a sell out 1st ever home game in the Priemier league, laods of photographers/press and all hell breaking loose in the main stand. I sit in block 17 and there are plenty of people who sit near me who would not take kindly to any away fans sitting in that area. SCFC ticketing policies = laughable STM

If this is indeed true it is absolutely asking for trouble, it also prevents Stokies from attending as I am pretty sure this game will sell out for home fans. The other bug bear is the absolute shit that we have to go through to get an away ticket and (again IF true) yet the powers that be at the Brit appear to let any tom dick or brummie purchase tickets Fuming is not the word, I do hope that I have my self angry over nothing and this is a wind up

Panini2001, its not a load of bollocks, he has paid £34 for each ticket.
I don't actually think he would lie to me cause he knows all I will do is take the piss out of him if he does.

Assuming this is true, can I just get this right...?
Stoke City fans need ID Cards and vetting by the police before we can buy tickets and gain admission to away matches, but our club are prepared to sell ten tickets in a home area of the Britannia Stadium for a game against Aston Villa (yes, Aston Villa with their saintly mob of supporters) to a bloke who provides a Birmingham post code and who obviously isn't on the database.
You couldn't make it up.

When I lived in Brum, I never had trouble getting Stoke tickets either from a Brum postcoded address, although my Stoke accent may have helped.

He is not a friend just a work colleague, one reason why I believe him is that his father also works here and he is a Villa fan as well (one of the tickets is for him) and he actually paid for the tickets on his dads business card.

Don't see how these Villa fans are stopping Stokies getting tickets 58Potter. If the Villa fans could just ring up and get tickets so could Stoke fans.
We seem relaxed about our fans going in the away areas, as they have done ever since the away cards came in. As Swampy says, why shouldn't Villa fans do the same.

Definately not, he will keep his head down and won't even cheer if they score. Don't know about the other people who will be with him.

Dave, I think he means Stokies think it’s okay to buy tickets for home ends for away games (as has been discussed on here quite a bit for Bolton without anyone battering an eye lid) yet when someone mentions Villa fans in our home end it stirs up this kind of reaction.
