A small consolation is that Smith then got hit in the balls soon after, couldnt happen to a nicer bloke

I will translate it for you. England are a wank cricket team, they have a captain who only plays for himself.

I will translate it for you. England are a wank cricket team, they have a captain who only plays for himself. Again, translated as: I know sweet FA about cricket, and Im just jumping on the 'lets all have a go at KP' bandwagon. Keep em coming lads, Im fluent in jibberish

We will see how good "KP" is after a match that means something. You can not count this because South Africa are not that bothered as they have already won the series

Ok, Im not doubting that it could be a catastrophic choice, and I certainly didnt want him as captain. But he has sent an attacking team out and its paying dividence (132-6) weather SA are up for it or not.
Give him a chance.

why would south africa not be up for it? they have a chance of whitewashing england away from home, i know i would certainly be up for it. and why would any team in any sport want to lose,?

Good day for KP
Seemed to organise well and encourage even when SA were 100 odd for 1.
Vidicated for picking 5 bowlers

Really good day for England. Anderson, Flintoff and Harmison all bowled well and our bowling unit worked effectively as a group for the first time in ages. Pietersen is going to be an excellent captain, mark my goddamn words! He is positive, intelligent, inspirational and instinctive. I think he is the kind of captain players will respond to and is the kick up the arse that the test team needs. The pitch looks to have flattened out a bit and if (and it is a big if with our shaky batting line-up) we can score 350+ we should win the test.

South Africa made the early breakthrough, 2 down now and Bell gone - shit! come on Kp

I think Bell is (after KP) our most gifted batsman but is mentally weak. I can't remember him making a big score when we really needed one. Too harsh?

Bells the purer batsman, some say technically more sound than KP (who plays more on instinct) but like you say, Bells head is not right a lot of the time.

harmison is leading the onslaught now 34 not out! ambrose and flintoff could really do with a big score each though
