But your judging legendary status as doing it at the top level. That is a legend in football, not in stoke city. If we had a striker, that scored 400 goals for us in division 4, would he not be a legend because he didn't do it at the highest level....rubbish...
15 goals in our promotion season, and off the top of my head 5 world class/memorable goals in a stoke shirt.... and 10 goals in first prem season ???
Give him a bit of credit..

Ricardo Fuller is not a stoke legend, no more than liam Lawrence, who scored the same amount of goals for us in the year coming up, or James Beattie, they are just good players who have come here, done their bit, and then moved on. A legend is a player that will be remembered for years to come, a player recognised by other clubs as the defining man of your team. Stoke are not defined by Fuller, and most other clubs recognise what so many stoke fans are blinded by, his goalscoring ability is shite. If he scored 10-15 goals a season for us then he would be well worth legendary status, but the goals he does score are few and far between. With the clubs current level of progress in 25-30 years time the only memory of ricardo will be some fans thinking, oh remember him, he helped keep us up. Ricardo fuller would never make it into a team of all time stoke city greats, and never should, the truth is hard to hear for some, but for so many to be blinded by their love for a striker who cant score goals is beyond reason. Can't agree, i think ill be talking about some of the goals he scored in years to come. His goals turned us from mid table to play off contenders and play off contenders to league runners up, followed up by a great couple of seasons in the top division scoring some more memorable goals.... and he is recognised in football as a technically very good player.... every time i see us on skysports the commentator says 'there not just a long ball team stoke, than can play football as well, they have players like ricardo fuller who is unplayable at times' .... Okay, we aint building a statue of him, but he should rightly go down as modern legend with stein and hoesktra ....before then were sadly goin back a long long way

When Fuller leave's it will be a very sad day for this football club.
Im not suggesting we can't bring in better strikers, but i think it will be a long time before we see anyone like Rick again in terms of match winning moments of brilliance and sheer class...
- Hatrick against WBA - Goal at west ham - Goal at wolves - First premier league goal at bolton - The goal of the month against villa - the performance against scuny when 2-0 down, as we won 3-2
I could go on ....
Tuncay, jones or carew will never be fuller sadly.

...................Hennessey...................... Eardly.....Shawcross ... Collins ... Bale Bellamy....Vaughan...Edwards...Ledley
Up to that point it looks a fantastic team....but they will have to find out what decent strikers have welsh grandparents because they have nobody ;D

Benjamin Biscuit - cant agree with one word of that.
If Fuller had of won the penalty n scored it ( and he would of taken it ) it would have been a tactical master class.
Pulis cant really win?
As for matty going off...hasn't he been having injections all month so he can play through the pain...

Understand what your saying, but he brings a bit more to the table than mamma Is too hot and cold though...its about 1 good game in 3 at the moment, needs to improve, but only 6 months into his stoke career al let him off

Played as well as anybody else but not a stand out player ... he's great to have in the squad as he can play up front and both wings , but you don't drop matty, pennant, fuller, jones for him....

Battled till the end, is wasn't man united pushing for a third it was all out defending and time wasting to hold on to the win..
We should of had a penalty, but come on , not at old Trafford.
I went to the games the last two seasons, wow... we have come on big style !

On a separate note, what club has a quality left back that they are willing to sell/need to sell/want to sell and within our wage bracket and transfer funds. Young Gareth Bale at Spurs Seems To Be Causing Quite A Stir

Collins was awful today. I'm happy with the long ball if your in a bit of danger but when there is a simple pass right in front of you, i really don't understand what goes through his mind.
Also when he is high up the pitch and asked to put a cross in, do one of the following .... low and hard or Head height (penalty spot)
And not ...hoof it in with so much height it takes 2 minutes to come back down, by which time, all opposing team players are in a comfortable position to clear.
But don't me started on some professional footballers inability to put a half decent cross in

Dont agree JetBlack , You suggest were becoming more and more disliked by the media and other clubs, but then ask for a siege mentality. But surely were creating that now by coming out and saying these things. I dont want to be like the big clubs, loved by the media and cant put a foot wrong...and i tell you....if we get an awful decision , ill be singing we got another shit ref at the top of my voice....fuck em all

Tony has to defend his football club, fergie and wenger both do it, sometimes when they are blaitently wrong, tony actually has a point....but best thing to do is go out and win tonight, and im sure we will.

On pulis's idea for clubs to rate referee's ...
'Well, we already have that in the game, by the side of the 4th official is a man from the pfa. He speaks to the referee after the game about what he did well, what he needs to work on'.
Hahahaa how is that an answer to that question !

Post by stokie23 on Nov 8, 2010 11:46:09 GMT
what a twat.....already got his answers lined up, sticking up for the referee's...he and the ref's shouldnt have a leg to stand on but he bends the words and avoids answering the questions.
How pointless was that interview?

WOOOW....how much television coverage is this getting!
I bet were gonna get all the decisions tuesday, but surely thats not what anyboday wants... buckling under the pressure , weak refereeing.
Top idea from Tony though, cant see a floor in it, they should be under as much pressure as the football clubs.

Deffo price... look at the turnout at bolton recently my ticket was £20 and its a 15 minute drive for myself. Everton was £33 , crap stadium, restricted view, no thanks.
I dont no how much Sunderland tickets were but i no its probably £40-50 petrol.

This will be your reply ....
Dear sir/madame, Thankyou for your letter. We undertand that you are unhappy with a decision that has been made in a football match/ an official / beachball / rasist abuse.
We are unable to investigate individual cases, but believe our officials work very hard to ensure fair play.
Many thanks

On the whole, the football has been much better this year, the 2 out and out wingers is great to watch and great now tuncays back in , but defence needs sorting...crazy to think danny collins has been our most consistant defender this season!
January must get a centre mid and fullbacks in.

Its a good idea...if theres a bad decision....20,000 ppl are blowing whistles....that noise will be deafening! Will make the atmosphere very intimidating !!
The ref's will think twice before making a decision, sounds crazy but could actually influence the game....remember the noise/atmosphere against man city in the first season up....very intimidating !!! Loved it...remember Beattie commenting after the game on the noise.
Get your whistless/sing your hearts out....and make sum noise !!!!!!

Our run of bad luck will turn around ....
4-0 win
1-0 Jones heads it against the post....but bounces off the goalkeeper and into the net.
2-0 A fantastic passing movement if finished off by Rory Delap, with a 30 yard volley
3-0 Turner makes a horrific 2 footed tackle that is so bad, no one ever even mentions shawcross/ramsy ever again. Wenger moans about Sunderland in every pre match interview ...oh and stoke penalty - Fuller scores.
4-0 Alla old trafford last week, tuncay goes down easily in the box and puts his hands on the ball, the ref says play on, tunny scores!
If Carlsberg did football matches....
