This is by no means a hate message, ricardo fuller has been a fantastic player for this team who contributed to stoke's success in our premier league promotion and first year survival. That being said, if we do sell him will that be the end of the world??? I think that Ric will, effectively pass the torch over to Tuncay who by all means has shown exactly how good he is. The past through games have shown that he has become stronger and his confidence seems to be growing. Ricardo has been immense for this team but Tuncay could be that little bit more, he chases more, which means that there is less pressure on the other striker to do it, its not necessarily the target mans job, in fact it makes more sense for a smaller and slimmer man to do it instead. He also possesses incredible skill like fuller has shown, able to bob and weave. However fuller's scoring record last season was much less than impressive and contributed to stoke being one of the least scoring teams in the division. Now we come to Carew.....who is by no means going to be fuller's replacement but probably, hopefully Mama's. He is stronger and a proven goalscorer in this division, 1 in just under 3. Neither fuller's nor Mama's goal record is that good. We may be looking at this wrong. Fuller is wanting a contract extension but under current form which has dipped from the 3 premier goals all last season, if we got 1.5mil for fuller, it may be worth letting him go. For all that he has done Tunny could be the future for the next few seasons, Carew as a stop gap loan deal whilst over summer hopefully we'll invest in a young striker we can mold. Is this really a massive problem. Fuller will truely be missed but if Tunny can keep playing like he does, will he be needed? I hope not

When Fuller leave's it will be a very sad day for this football club.
Im not suggesting we can't bring in better strikers, but i think it will be a long time before we see anyone like Rick again in terms of match winning moments of brilliance and sheer class...
- Hatrick against WBA - Goal at west ham - Goal at wolves - First premier league goal at bolton - The goal of the month against villa - the performance against scuny when 2-0 down, as we won 3-2
I could go on ....
Tuncay, jones or carew will never be fuller sadly.

Off the pace of late, not getting younger and perhaps too many spliffs. Great servant almost worth a "testimonial" don't get them these days as they don't need the money by the time they finish or move on. Tuncay & Fuller have been alternative options for Pulis, mainly Ric first sub Tuncay - that is now changing. Do need to offload Mama and lets face it Carew is a better option there. So yes let Ric go and get a two/three year contract elsewhere while we blood younger faces.

why a post stating that there is another thread? As for fuller, he has scored some great goals for stoke, but so has tunny, i really think he could be fuller's natural replacement, another guy with plenty of talent on the ball, imagine if we bought a midfielder who can pass a ball, or played wilson more, tunny would score so many goals through forward runs and we'd have the ability to change things round by using carew. Fullers been fantastic for us but we can surely find a youngster out there who we can train up to be a faster more prolific striker. All in all, i dont care how the striker scores, I like Crouch for England, all the goals he scores are tripe but he scores so many of them. In the end you dont get extra points for scoring good goals so what difference does it make, id rather have a poacher who will likely get 12 than fuller whose likely to get 5-6.

He wont be going anywhere unless a huge insurance policy premium is paid. His knees are shot and he wouldnt pass a medical for an over 70s team. He will stay at Stoke until he pegs it . Thank goodness.

As has been stated - Ricardo Fuller should retire from Stoke and NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS be sold to a potential adversary (Sunderland)
He is my hero and teh hero of so many Stoke fans, retains remarkable skills and ability and is our talisman. To consider replacing him with Carew is like selling the Crown Jewels and relacing them with a great big lump of shit.

RF10- I quite simply love this man.
Kav was my hero when I was a nipper and when he said he would never leave then fucked off to Cardiff of all places I was truly gutted.
If Ric was to leave I could well end up doing a life stretch for killing Steve Bruce ( THE BIG FAT PIECE OF CUNTING SHIT )

Kemp also dismissed speculation linking striker Ricardo Fuller with a move to Sunderland.
The assistant manager insisted they were keen to maintain as good a squad as possible and increase competition for places in all areas.
"That is speculation," he said of Fuller. "He is our player and he has every chance of being involved on Saturday (against Fulham).
"We want as many good players here and as much competition as we possibly can, so we are not looking to move lots of people out.
"We would like to bring one or two in to improve the quality we have."
Kemp feels adding to the squad in January is always helpful, as it showed in their first season in the Premier League when they brought in James Beattie and he scored seven goals in 16 games to help keep the Potters up.
"We brought in Beattie and Matt Etherington in January and they gave us a boost for the second half of the season.
"If we could do the same again we would do but we're not going to panic if we can't because we've got a good squad anyway.
"It gives everyone a push and a lift when someone comes in but it has to be someone who improves what you already have.
"You want competition for places and if you bring a quality player in like Carew hopefully that ups everyone's game."

Would love see him finish his career at stoke though Maybe not to the scale of Matthews and co but I'm only 20 so in my lifetime he's one of the best, if not the best, Stoke player. Hoekstra is up there but Fuller for me is easily the best player I've seen play for Stoke.

SHIT BIN!!!
He hasn't gone yet FFS.
Also - how the FUCK is Fuller not a true Stoke legend, some people speak out of their arses.
No one has contributed to a Stoke's team success MORE than Ricardo imo. They may have scored more goals but he dragged the club off it's arse.
