Why not higher than 8th. We have Chelsea to play away but no other teams away from home should be feared given how we have started to play on the road. We have Spurs Man City and Liverpool at home, all of which we can give as good as we get. Take those out and we have 14 games we should get points from, even more so if MH can pull off another Odemwingie style signing this month. Onwards and upwards.

After a few tough years Bojan seems to be genuinely enjoying his footie again and it shows with his performances - long may this continue in the red and white

Story from Voetbal International in HollandStoke City manager Mark Hughes sees Zakaria Bakkali a possible reinforcement for his selection. The technical boss of the number eleven of the Premier League has indicated that in the management of the player.
"The most important for Zakaria is the chance of playing time. That is paramount. Stoke see them like him coming, so therefore it is an option, "said Marcel Veerman, the manager of Bakkali.
The Belgian, who at PSV is at a dead end because he refused to renew his contract, has an invitation to come and talk received in Stoke.
Stoke City orients itself on attacking reinforcements because the club with Oussama Assaidi (Liverpool) and Victor Moses (Chelsea) currently has two mercenaries in the selection. The contract of Bakkali, currently recovering from a slight hip surgery is next summer off. PSV will do the Belgian talent probably still an offer to continue claiming the training fee. gotta love Google translate - "... currently have two mercenaries in the selection ..."

What's even worse is Rojo ran to the side the linesman was on claiming the goal.

any team that isnt good enough to avoid defeat at home to burnley, leics and villa is going to be in a relegation fight. we cant score ,cant defend ,its not rocket science. what about a team that is good enough to beat the champions on their own patch? Are they in a relegation battle or good enough to challenge for a champions league spot?

For Gods sake, show some backbone. We have lost 1-0 to Liverpool. We have created chances. There is a long, long way to go yet. Talk about over reacting. no over reaction - we dropped 9 points at home against 3 shit teams And picked up 6 points away from home when we didn't expect to. Another Man City performance on Tuesday would even those dropped points out

Having let the dust settle on yesterday's disappointment it's clearly going to be an odd season. Had we beat Burnley and Leicester at home (as expected) and lost to Man City and Spurs away (as expected) we would find ourselves in the same league position. We are moving in the right direction but are not quite there on terms of breaking down teams who put 10 men behind the ball. On paper the run of games coming up look daunting, however, against the bigger teams away from home we have proved we can do it. Liverpool look there for the taking in the same way as Spurs were. I for one am looking forward to the next few games and more Man City / Spurs performances.

Well that's three of them and based on how we played in the last two games we shouldn't fear anyone on that list. Except maybe Chelsea as Moses won't be able to play

It should have been a red but if the ref had stopped play how many of you would have been saying why didn't the ref play the advantage as we had the ball in a good position ? If Moses hadn't have fucked up his pass and we'd scored you'd all be saying great refereeing How often have you seen advantage given only for the ref to go back with a red card? Given the length of time that passed before the ball went dead the player who should have been sent off could have had a major influence on the game

We have the 5th best defence and 16th best attack in terms of goals. Let's hope we continue to make chances like today but take more of them

Was a pleasure to see his performance today. Always looking to move forward tight control and quick passes. Even muscled Song off the ball a couple of times. Can see him only getting better.

I can only assume this thread was made to win over a few pissed off Swansea fans that'll be reading this board to see our post match comments. If it was the other way round I guarantee they wouldn't be saying Dyer/Routledge should be reprimanded for their actions, they'd be laughing their Jack cocks off at heaping more misery on our home form this season and pointing out that it was quite clearly a penalty, which it was, as was Bony's. I don't get what some of our players have to do to win our fans over, Moses is an awesome player, arguably our best so far this season, and more than enough times I've seen him soldier on when he's been getting molested by opposition defenders, Janmaat was kicking shit through him when we played Castle, He ran into the box, his shirt was pulled, he goes down, referee points to the spot and we're back in the game, I guarantee if he didn't go down there'd be a thread completely opposite to this one on here saying "He should have gone down" "FFS don't be so honest" etc. Moses didn't go down theatrically, he didn't start waving imaginary cards around, he just got up and let Charlie get us back in the game, if some fans want to take the moral high ground and keep this attitude of "We're Stoke and we're 100% honest" that's fair enough, but I'm fucking sick of us being shafted out of points by downright cheating and shit refereeing decisions, so I certainly won't be losing sleep over what in my eyes was a blatant penalty anyway. To suggest he should be punished is laughable, it about time we started getting some decisions. Well said

And 4 points above bottom 3 and 3 points of 4th ? Thats all well and good mate but our performances are average to shit most weeks. Just giving a perspective. Granted we've not hit the ground running this season, but it's hardly time to press the panic button
