I'd rather have Bonham, that's how underwhelmed I am by Iverson.

Forget three at the back, we have to go 4-4-2 with defenders defending first and foremost. Then when we do have the ball the fullbacks move up the two wide middle attempt to go down the wing and support whoever is up front - think it needs to back to basics at this point in time. 4-4-2 is the obvious formation with this squad but it's clearly not fashionable with these young progressive coaches. A solid back 4 with full backs playing as full backs with 2 defensive central midfield players in a formation that is easy to understand and coach on the training ground. Football is quite a simple game but modern Pep wannabees make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Mowbray would have been the ideal appointment last time, a proven championship manager who's teams play decent football and gives youth players a chance. Instead we appoint another no mark chancer.

We need a solid pragmatic 4-4-2
Bonham
Junior (as an out and out right back) Wilmot McNally Thompson (as an out and out left back )
Million Baker (deep lying) Burger (deep lying) Bae
Ennis Campbell
Go back to basics and try and not confuse these thick fuckers we've got playing for us.

Useless waste of time , why are managers so obsessed in bringing a former player with them . Maybe just to keep them company with a friendly face , twats the lot of them Very true, it's like a comfort blanket for them. Understand it if they are clearly different class to what you've got but at this level they very rarely are.

He's very lightweight but what I did notice yesterday was that his passing was regularly underhit and 'bobbled' through to the recipient rather than fizzed through. There was an instance second half when there was a rare forward pass to Campbell who had actually curved his run to run in behind the defender but the pass was to his feet causing him to check the run. Pretty underwhelming from early impressions.

I have no doubt whatsoever Mmaee will be a great signing. Compared to the absolute dross of strikers we've signed for big money since relegation, he is a class act.

I'm also a little concerned that schuey has seen players pissing about on the training ground but then picks them in his starting XI.

I thought he did OK today, got behind their back line a couple of times in wide areas but there was no fucker up with him and he was inevitably closed down. I must be a dinosaur but I really don't understand why modern coaches think a lone striker is a good idea.

Difficult one as we played half decent at times but every unit on the pitch were also shit.
Iverson - 6, didn't have to do much other than pick the ball out of the net 3 times
Gooch - 4, Clarke pissed all over him Wilmot - 5, both central defenders could have covered a pair of awful full backs better Rose - 5, as above Thompson - 4, caught in no man's land time after time.
Cundy- 4, weak and pointless Burger - 5, piss poor for the first goal and not at the races for the rest of the game. Junho - 7, always a threat and MOM with very few challengers.
Haks - 5, not really sure what he is, not a fan Campbell - 6, some good movement and looks fitter, I'd like to see him up front with Mmaee rather than one or the other. Leris - 6.5, worked aarrd but was decent as well, closest challenger for MOM.
Subs. Damage was already done but thought Mmaee looked promising in the deep lying striker role despite his one wank effort on goal.

Wow, new manager, same shocking performance as we've seen under all the previous managers. I really think we are jinxed, no idea what the answer is.

He was. You can’t write him off. Ss can get the best out of him. Hes absolutely fucking wank. Unless SS can teach him how to kick a football 20 yards to a Stoke player he's got no chance. He played himself out the team in spectacular fashion yesterday and I'd happily see him fucked off and Dixon on the bench moving forward. He's not 'absolutely fucking wank' though is he? Hoever, Mmaee, Vidigal or any other player in the squad aren't 'fucking wank' or 'dogshit', they're all talented footballers. Everyone has an opinion as to who should or shouldn't play or who had a good/bad game but after every game, win lose or draw all I read on here is how wank certain players are.

Absolutely corrupt officiating in the Real Madrid v Almeria. Referee is making certain Real win this one.

If he came to Stoke and didn't score for 2 or 3 games you can guarantee that many on this board would be dismissing him as 'dogshit' and 'we need much better'😊

He’s done nothing wrong 🤣 Shocking parry to their striker at the end of the first half, but no blame for either goal.

He's a talent but he's played for 10 clubs over the past 10 years. Seems to have real purple patches when he looks class and then blows cold and looks fucking awful. The goal he scored Saturday was top drawer but he too frequently goes missing. If a decent offer comes in we should take it. He's been contracted to one club, and was loaned out regularly as per the Chelsea model. That's different to a player being signed and moved on by a load of clubs...... That's a fair point but even by the Chelsea model, 10 different clubs is unusual.

Viktor Johansson, been mentioned previously on here but I must say I've seen him a few times and he's never failed to impress. If we're paying money for a keeper in the close season he'd be my target.

Hoever is very good at bringing the ball through 'the lines' and that's why he plays every week. He gets sloppy sometimes but no other player in the squad can do what he does. He also reads danger well and makes important interceptions and blocks. People only see the very noticeable dropped bollocks though. He won't be playing a minute once Gooch and Tchmaedau are back. We'll see eh?😉

Hoever played a sloppy pass that Burger gave him a bollocking for but other than that he was very good..again Hoever was an accident waiting to happen the majority of times he got the ball! I wish people could get over this idea that we need a 'dominant centre half'. We need footballing centre backs and we've got 3 of them.

In your opinion which has nothing to do with how the manager had asked him to play. If any manager was that unhappy with what he was doing they’d take him off. At the end of the day he’s not meant to be playing to your instructions or game plans. You really are a self important fool. He was shit and we conceded 4 because the defence was shit. Another game highlighting nicely what needs to change. Too simplistic, we didn't concede any when Hoever was RCB in a three. During that period he was very good.
