Thought we played well , the manager went for it, never any thought of a defensive display They’re a top 10 Prem side and in the end it showed. Some solid performances, notably Burger and Junho
That type of display will see us in the top 6 eventually

We have come a long way since AN went, and the team seems to playing so much better. Some nice goals by Brighton.

Spot on. Competed well, just a massive gulf in class.
There was a time when we were the Premier League team and they came up here and we coasted to a 3-0 win, think it was the season we reached the final.

I think that we achieved pretty much all we needed to in that game. We brought on three youngsters who got about 20 mins each and our goalscoring midfielder who has just got back from injury got a goal.
Genuinely don’t care much about the rest. It’s the FA Cup. It’s going to be won by Man City anyways. It’s only good until the 3rd round.

Difference in quality evident, but we did not disgrace ourselves and had a go.

Hopefully none of the replaced players were badly hurt. If that's the case then we go again next week, Campbell back in contention, Burger, Baker and Bae looking in good form and completing lots of 90 minutes. What worries me is where goals come from, our forwards (or maybe a yet unsigned forward) need to step up soon, own goals and pens can't fire you up the table.

Can't fault that performance, very tired and disjointed again at the end though. Injuries are mounting yet again too. SS will learn alot from that today, Wesley Juhno Berger Leris were very good, Hoever was better to be fair. Need Goochy back for energy levels. A weeks rest and training then back to the bread and butter stuff. New left back please SS.

If Man Utd don’t come in for the Brighton manager at the end of the season they need their heads looking at.
Rowett on soccer Saturday made a point for one of their goals, the last one I think, where he said how he’s got their centre back to advance and end up on the right wing .
I think our centre backs could probably do that, it’s the defending I worry about with them

Every single one of them should take a bow, absolutely quality performances all over the pitch.
At times it was difficult to know just actually which one was the top ten Premiership side.
At the end of the day, their unquestionable individual superioty won the day but we genuinely played some great stuff at times and didn't let ourselves down whatsoever.

It was a decent game of footy and we gave it a go. The turning point was NcNally coming on, we’d looked comfortable defensively up to that point.
Pleasantly surprised by McCarron who looked assured and full of energy.

Took their big hitters to put it to bed...we mixed and matched.
Good effort

Loads of positives today .
Jun ho and Burger not looking out of place up against that sort of quality.
A rejuvenated Baker..and no keeper stops that penalty
Big improvement from Hooever and Leris ( shame the latter had to go off )
Minutes for Sidibe, Lowe and Mccarron against a Premiership side.
And finally a manager that isn't scared of his own shadow !
Onwards and upwards!

Didn't help we had to move Hoever in the reshuffle because in that first half Hoever was superb, the best he's been in a long time.

Wesley put himself about but has got to be the wankest Brazilian footballer to ever have played pro football. We competed well overall against a really good side, but not all our players should come in for unequivocal praise in my opinion, cuz they're not good enough for the level we are playing at, never mind where we want to be.

Mcnally needs press quicker for the 1st, and loses dunk for 2nd, piss poor from him. Shouldn't be gifting teams of Brightons quality goals, they must earn it.

Thoroughly enjoyable, not the stale non event was expecting
Brighton dive that bit more than you see in the Championship but they are an excellent side, good chance of winning the Cup Stoke competed, attacked well enough at times, had chances too
Play like that next week we will win easy

The defence were appalling but they were against a good side.
Hoever really shouldn’t be playing for us. He was truly atrocious today.
Enjoyable game though. And we gave it a good go.

Hoever is awful mate, I agree. His positional sense is dogshit and players go past him as if he's a fucking hologram.

Even when he was the right centre back he was 5 yards at least ahead of the other two. It was honestly one of the worst individual defensive displays I’ve seen.

The scoreline flattered them but not wishing to single a player out, but McNally man, needs to be way braver in headers. Dunk owned him. Apart from that, what a difference a great coach makes. Night and day compared to Stoke under Neil.

The players we have are here to compete at the level we're at. If we were to go up say next season then we rebuild, no point in moaning re them found wanting V a top half Prem side.
Play Rotherham today, we beat them. That's more important next week
