Iveson - 5, looked rusty and needs a few games
Hoever - 7, superb first half bringing the ball our and played some lovely passes through the lines.
Rose - 6, no dropped bollocks, did OK.
Wilmot - 6 a little rusty but gave his all.
Leris - 7, more like the player at the start of the season, hard work with some ability.
Bae - 7, never stopped running and trying to make things happen.
Baker - 6, good penalty but a player of his ability should be imposing himself far more
Burger - 8, what a signing this guy has been, keeps getting better and better
DJ - 5, stood way too far from his opposite number every time, disappointing.
Haks - 4, never got into the game, forgot he was playing
Wesley - 5, thank fuck we only gave him a 12 month contract, awful.
SUBS:
McNally - 5 poor lost his man for two of the goals
Vidigal 5, started like a house on fire and then just disappeared.
All other subs largely irrelevant

He was very good until the reshuffle. At RCB? He was never in position. Until the Rose injury we were comfortable and had good shape, Hoever was bringing the ball out and playing some lovely passes. It all turned to rat shit after the reshuffle. Hoever was superb in the position he started the game.

The defence were appalling but they were against a good side. Hoever really shouldn’t be playing for us. He was truly atrocious today. Enjoyable game though. And we gave it a good go. He was very good until the reshuffle.

It was a decent game of footy and we gave it a go. The turning point was NcNally coming on, we’d looked comfortable defensively up to that point. Pleasantly surprised by McCarron who looked assured and full of energy. Yes I like McNally but he really struggled to get up to speed when he came on. Didn't help we had to move Hoever in the reshuffle because in that first half Hoever was superb, the best he's been in a long time.

When Schuey was interviewed after the Brum game he said that when Stoke played Plymouth a few weeks ago he identified Vidigal as one of the main threats. The manager likes him and I think the majority seem on board with the manager's judgement so far.

I think he was supposed to be this mythical commanding leader of a centre back that so many were calling for.

Mmaee was criticised by many on here for not holding the ball up against Milwall when he was actually very good at holding the ball up and drew foul after foul. He's a class act and it's a little bit alarming that so many can't see that.

Don't get too upset by the match day thread, at various points you can guarantee that the following players are shit: Bonham Hoever McNally Wilmot Rose Stevens Gooch Johnson Pearson Laurent Burger Vidigal Mmaee Gayle Wesley.
The only players who escape the wrath are Junior, Baker and Bae because they haven't played too often but the more Bae plays the more shit he becomes according to the experts. Baker's a fall guy waiting to happen as soon as he starts regularly though.

First time I've listened to the commentary for a while but the guy has improved no end, he's doing well, I like him.

I would rather see a defensive partnership from any three of McNally, Wilmot and even Rose than the thought of a lumbering hoofer who shouts and shakes his fist as he hoofs it straight out of play.

Really finding his feet now, I think we've got a bit of a gem on our hands. He's certainly going to attract attention soon with the way he's performing.

Junior is going to be a great player for us but he has a dropped bollock in him like most at this level. I just hope there is a little more patience shown when he does start regularly than there is for some of the current starters.

No one gets anywhere near him. What the fuck is he meant to do? Hold the ball up better, not get knocked off the ball as easily, not dither when he actually gets the ball so much that we lose momentum, not fall over all the time acting like a fanny, not always get annoyed when he realises the game here is far too physical for him. But apart from that not much he can do is there. He won numerous free kicks today by holding the ball.

Lost possession in a dangerous area that a decent team would have capitalised on. I like him and he should be starting but he's prone to sloppy mistakes that other players would be slaughtered for.

I'd have thought today was a massive learning curve for him. Seeing players in a match situation as well as on the training pitch will have given him much food for thought. For the first time in a long while we were better second half so I'll give him a 7

I think we've assembled a talented squad, obviously not every signing will be a success but the likes Mmaee. Burger, Junior, Bae and Vidigal have all got decent potential. The likes of Pearson, Johnson and Gooch are obviously more AN players but are solid championship players. A decent coach will definitely get a decent tune out of this squad.

Mad Nath was often referred to as a charlatan by some on here but AN is the epitome of a charlatan. Very difficult to pick a 'most objectionable manager' in recent history but I think AN just pips Rowett for this accolade and I never thought there would be anyone more objectionable than Rowett in my lifetime.

We have talented players in this squad and it appears that Schumacher is a half decent coach so i fully expect him to get a decent tune out of most of them. I have no doubt we'll be much better, AN was complacent and lazy, truly shocking how shit he became.

Steven Schumacher 1/1 John Eustace 2/1 Paul Heckingbottom 6/1 Into evens. Interesting to see if the money continues 3 English man. No one else even vaguely at the races. I suppose if we were to hire Schumacher people will think he's German! I think the board are onto a winner, a scouser with a German name. That'll quell any allegations of xenophobia.

Reckon Paul could develop them into a decent team. There's been a definite improvement in the 10 days he's been working with the squad and he actually looks like he takes an interest in the game rather than standing there with both hands thrust deep into his trackie bottoms oblivious to what is happening on the pitch

Obviously sees things very differently with players, Mmaee and Hoever stink the place out, still selecting Johnson and he’s not playing Junior in the right position. If he resolves this for Millwall then just slightly, possibly, perhaps maybe….but I think he will be as clueless as the last four five with players out of position and in the team for no good reason, so for me, I’m out….we have to have a better manager. I guarantee that any new manager coming in will select players that certain fans don't rate.

Think he's doing alright, the last two performances at least shows he's working on shape and discipline on the training ground. The players seem to be on board, I'd rather have Gallagher at the moment than Eustace.

Looks like we've actually worked hard on the training pitch, look disciplined and holding their shape for the first time in a long time. Hope we can maintain it but don't think the level of fitness is good enough.

But you've already stated he's a 'complete nothing player' so you're only going to see the mistakes he makes to confirm your view. We all do it, I like Johnson so I see the good things he does in a game. Some get a little entrenched in their opinions of players. Perfectly capable of being objective and not suffering from confirmation bias… he’s just useless. No agenda, just my opinion. I’d have no problem congratulating him if he’d played well but he doesn’t affect the game, albeit scoring a penalty last night. His general play is poor in terms of being an attacking threat. No problem with him being in the squad as a backup as it’s not like he’s making mistake after mistake, but he’s a sensationally average footballer and we won’t achieve much with him starting as an attacking midfielder. There's not one stoke player who affects the game in a positive way at the moment but Johnson is one player who does try and play early forward balls and defends high up the pitch. He's no world beater but is an easy target for people who seem to prefer a safer sideways and backwards passer of the ball in midfield.

Crazy how one man's 4 is another man's 7 when watching the same game! Personally, when judging DJ's performance, I lean more towards those giving him a 4. I really don't see what tangible effect he has on the team - complete nothing player. He's nowhere near forward-thinking or creative enough to warrant taking up that role, and offers little defensively. I must admit - prior to signing him I didn't really know too much about him but I find myself very unimpressed. Bae should be in there and given a good run of games to allow himself to fully bed in. He's infinitely better than Johnson. But you've already stated he's a 'complete nothing player' so you're only going to see the mistakes he makes to confirm your view. We all do it, I like Johnson so I see the good things he does in a game. Some get a little entrenched in their opinions of players.

Slowly transforming from the player we desperately needed to a liability. The free kick he conceded that led to the corner for the equaliser was lazy half hearted indiscipline. He should have a 6 match ban for the advertising board embarrassment alone. Almost like you trying to blame him for the equalizer. The free kick was defended and then our keeper went walkabout on the corner. One of our better players tonight Keeper was 100% at fault, but it was a lazy unnecessary free kick to give away. He could be fitter and late in games he gives away too many of these free kicks.

We laughed at his theatre performance when he threw himself over the advertising board in slow motion..but we didn't know he was on a 2 match ban...he will have done!! It used to be a joke about players getting banned for christmas but has he just proved it??? Slowly transforming from the player we desperately needed to a liability. The free kick he conceded that led to the corner for the equaliser was lazy half hearted indiscipline. He should have a 6 match ban for the advertising board embarrassment alone.
