I thought he was excellent against us unfortunately, put massive pressure on the backline for the limited opportunities Birmingham created. The finish for his goal was excellent, wish we had a striker like him now.

Reminds me a bit of Defoe, not quite as nimble but a menace for defences with an explosive finish.
He’s going to be highly sought after in the summer if Fulham decide he can leave.

Dembele was their best attacker yesterday. Everything Vidigal isn't as a wide man. I'd swap the two yesterday.

Hoever is one of the worst defenders we've had is a long time. He is as much out of his depth in the Championship as Wimmer was in the Prem. Absolute liability every game he plays for us.

I think Tchamadeu has Dembele in his back pocket yesterday. I think Gooch would have faired much better against Dembele had he have started aswell to be fair.

If he came to Stoke and didn't score for 2 or 3 games you can guarantee that many on this board would be dismissing him as 'dogshit' and 'we need much better'😊

If he came to Stoke and didn't score for 2 or 3 games you can guarantee that many on this board would be dismissing him as 'dogshit' and 'we need much better'😊 and it would happen. For whatever reason we are a strikers graveyard and have been for decades. The only prolific strikers we've had in my lifetime are Stein and Thorne and I just saw the back end of Ritchie's career. That's 3 in 50+ years.

Wild air shot and then fell over with the goal gaping. My nan could have scored it. If Mmaee had done that he have been run out of town. He also had another very good chance in the first half when he skipped past McNally and Rose and only had Iversen to beat when Burger appeared from nowhere with a goal saving slide tackle. If Stansfield hadn't dithered over the shot it was a simple finish.

Excellent player.
Had we swapped him for Vidigal or Mmaee yesterday, I wonder who would have won.

That's 3 in 50+ years. You've forgotten Sheron and Biggins who were both prolific for us. For some reason, despite the 90s being statistically the worst decade of our history with more years in the third tier than any other decade, we probably had more prolific strikers than at any other time in living memory with Biggins, Stein and Sheron. Thorne followed not long after too. Been horrendous since then from a striking point of view.

The finish for his goal was excellent, wish we had a striker like him now. Our slow, weak and just awful centerbacks with hoever doing whatever that was made him look like Jamke Vardy at his PL best height yesterday first half. He's a great player but our lack of pressure or pace and grit at the back made him shine even more so.

Junior and Gooch would also have struggled against Dembele in my opinion. That's not to defend Hoever in any way. He was absolutely shocking.

Tbf Mmaee looked better when campbell came on yesterday, he is guilty tho from missing from 6 yards out in the second half put it over i think.

A definite handful, a bit like Szmodics was like for the Blackburn game. Absolutely what we’re lacking.

He’s troubled us in both games vs them and I kind of expected him to take any chance he got but he’s not the type of striker I crave. Don’t really see him as being anything an in form Campbell isn’t not that I don’t like that I’d just prefer something different up the middle.

8 in 23. 16 over a season in a struggling Brum side is good going.
Hardie at Plymouth would a better buy, 10 goals 4 assists from 17 starts (22 played). Although I don’t think Plymouth would sell anything to us 😂
