The recruitment has been criticised to death but I genuinely believe we've signed decent players this season, the problem has been the management and coaching of these players. Bae, Mmaee and Burger are all very good players and even Leris for the money is decent. I'm not getting carried away by the result, I've said all season we have good players at the club.

Like most thought it was an odd line up, however thought that was the performance of the season, low bar set I know but we really controlled the game from start to finish.

He seems he may be a bit of a knob but there's no doubting he's a good player. Certainly the best striker at the club.

Germany pissing all over France at the moment, looking like a resurgent young German team.

Great game of footie and the added advantage of not having to hear the tiresome scousers boo the national anthem at Wembley. Win win

Every time I listen to Sohail he just gets better. An absolute character, I think in time he will be fully accepted and appreciated. Loved his description of Will Keane's bun and how he wasn't envious.

I see Butland still falls over the wrong way on penalties.

Good to see Jack Butland rebuilding his career at Rangers. Keeping them in the game at the moment, outside chance for an England squad call up soon ??

well you're talking nonsense then. And he played very well when he came on. He did play well but then became the petulant brat that we've seen too often in a Stoke shirt. We were all happy when we signed him because we all thought he was the nasty little fucker we thought we needed, instead he has become the nasty little liability we could do without.

That's Pearson's problem, he gets caught out of position too often and makes stupid challenges that aren't even in dangerous positions. He's just not very bright. That's not what happened at all. You didn't see it, did you? Yes I did.

What the actual fuck? Have you ever seen a defender play? It's what you're supposed to do FFS Called it as it happened, he blocks him off the ball Pointless as it wasn't that dangerous a situation That's Pearson's problem, he gets caught out of position too often and makes stupid challenges that aren't even in dangerous positions. He's just not very bright.

He's as thick as shit, gave the ref a decision to make when he was on a booking, total dick. "Gave the ref a decision" is such a shit argument. Who cares, it's the refs fucking job to be consistent. He gave Leeds the win tonight. He's cynical in both challenges but he's got no subtlety he's as thick as fuck. It takes a special kind of knob headedness to collect two yellows in the short time he was on the pitch. I thought he was the answer when we signed him but he has become a massive liability.

He was excellent when he came on and it was never a sending off. If you've been listening to Angela on the radio ignore what she said, she was totally wrong He's as thick as shit, gave the ref a decision to make when he was on a booking, total dick.

Always liked Gudjon and i thought he did a great job at Stoke. Brought the superb Peter Hoekstra, Sergei Shtanuik and Brynjar Gunnarsson to Stoke when we were a third tier club. Loved all three! Larus Sigurdsson wasn't bad either🙂

I refuse to blame SS for our defenders failing to get goal side Or indeed players tracking back Or indeed failing to finish from 6yards out Or indeed tracking your man It’s embarrassing and the basics of football Folks on here asking for all sorts of managers TP, Alladyce, Pardew, MON even read Rowett There was a complete breakdown on this site at the thought of any of these when we were replacing Neil I hope we keep SS We are terrible but we have been for years JC is too involved Problems have been here for years and a change in anything didn’t seem to work I remember when he was part of the forum when MON was here and he spoke about being involved in the football side of meetings Well that’s probably an issue - why should he be?? JC need to stay out of the football playing side And also MH when he ripped the spine of the team apart and replaced it with nothing!! And then scholes refusing QSF for relegation clauses We don’t have a given right to be in the PL, all this nostalgia talk is memories but not a reality on where we are We aren’t bigger than Leicester, we aren’t bigger than Sunderland And many others Yet we have this thought process that we should be in the pl - nonsense Just because we have come from there doesn’t mean we deserve to be back there Sunderland were in div 1 last year and they are bigger than us vale, they have a slightly less stadium capacity than us but we again think we are brilliant and deserve the world Yes we have good facilities but I’m unsure what they are producing The players are lack lustre - maybe they need old style facilities instead of being pampered And folks talk about out academy Well if we can’t play any defenders instead of our current starting line up they quite clearly aren’t good. It’s I would play kids over our back line, in fact currently I would pick fans out of hat to play Embarrassing and gutless they are currently- I find it very difficult to believe the defenders in the under 23s couldn’t do a better job I mean being goal side of a man in the first instance would be a plus I would stick with SS, I think we will go down, we are awful, but we deserve to but I don’t think the blame sits with SS I’m hoping with JC saying he is most looking forward to Junho and SS that he holds his nerve and keeps him I guess we will see These basics of football you mention maybe something that Schuey could have done with learning but instead he instructs his two full backs to push into midfield positions and our two central defenders to then hold a high line resulting in the opposition to pick us off at will. The only time he was more pragmatic was against QPR where he played deeper with full backs holding defensive positions and lo and behold we actually win a game. The shambles we are watching every game is very much down to the coach and his 'work' on the training pitch.

The only half decent on out of that lot is Burger and he’ll get snapped up….. the rest are just a poor bunch of ‘professionals’ Another ‘ 25 players sign for Stoke’ close season coming up by the Looks of its Harsh on Bae and Junior. Junior's been woeful since he came back from ACON.

Today was a freakish day in terms of results. Not many would have had Huddersfield beating Watford away...nobody would have had Millwall beating Southampton away. Then you factor in Wednesday winning and QPR surviving a scare..it could not have gone worse for us. Those 1 in a million days where EVERYTHING goes against you Last time we got relegated to the third tier, with Man City, didn’t all the other teams involved (including the. Vale and Bury?) all win away from home on the last day? We cannot rely on any one else. We must win 5 more games to have any chance. I'm usually an optimist in life but before every game I'm fully expecting us to concede soft goals and fully expect us to not score. I can't see any way that we could win 5 more games, Schuey has lost the plot, he's ditched the principles that got him the Stoke job and the teams he picks and coaches look confused and disorganised.

We are a joke of a club anyway. What's the point in keeping him? He's taking us to league 1 without any shadow of doubt, why would you just stick, it makes no sense. Who you bringing in that will make a difference? I genuinely thought we looked far better organised when Gallagher stepped in as caretaker. Schuey is completely out of his depth and we are a complete shambles from front to back, he will absolutely take us down. We don't need to bring anyone in, I think Gally and SJW could make a far better go of things than Schuey.

The only thing I’d say is that Mmaee isn’t the first difficult player. Arni had a reputation before he joined us and I’m sure there’s others that have been difficult. We’re not in a situation where we can freeze players out when the alternatives are so poor. It’s all good having morals but not if we’re a weaker unit for it. Ennis is a vast improvement on Mmaee I’d argue we are stronger without him I think the two could complement each other, Mmaee just behind and close to Ennis could produce something more threatening than the dirge we've seen all season. I think a compromise has to be reached between Mmaee and the manager where no-one loses face because as it stands we are going down.

A much needed pragmatic approach last night, we had full backs who actually played as full backs and two sitting central midfield players protecting the back four and no suicidal high back line.
