Our team is.
Except I don't live in Stoke, or the surrounding area.
And I haven't got a football team. Or any interest in starting one.
I've not helped here have I?

There's a certain irony in your last statement. I feel confident you will spot it. he did well, then he stopped doing well, then he was sacked. His obsession with overplaying his role in SCFC is as bad as some on here. To listen to him talk you'd think he'd built Clayton woods on his fucking own, with Gerry fucking Francis on the barrow. and yes, Albion were fucking dreadful on Saturday, absolutely awful. Almost in fact as bad as we were. I'm heavily involved in this thread but Pugsley will bring up TP at every single opportunity. Im not the only one to spot it. According to the wisdom of Pugsley TP would never manage in the top two divisions again... It's sheer hatred Albion looked decent! Berahino and Ideye looked lively and at no point did we cause them any issues bar the succession of corners. We were poor but let's not fall into the trap of saying what other teams used to after we'd beat them, WBA were good value for the win. I don't mind either way mate, it's late and I'm pulling your chain a bit. Nothing else. for my part, never loved him, never will. Respect him, absolutely, but nothing else. And he's gone now. Any pro/con/rammer/wankstain discussions are usually occurring cos there fuck all else going on.

If you look at the secret footballers articles, he has on more than one occasion alluded to a fairly lively social environment at Sunderland.
I think he means they all get cunted a lot and don't give a shit. Shame really, they be doing much, much better than they are.

Fuck Tony Pulis and fuck WBA (or whoever he's managing this season) Anti football, end of. There was nothing "anti football" about them on Saturday. No surprise that you've come up with this tripe. Your obsession with Tony isn't healthy There's a certain irony in your last statement. I feel confident you will spot it. he did well, then he stopped doing well, then he was sacked. They were going out of business before this bellend took over. On that basis, he can call them what he likes.
When we were on the brink in the late nineties, if they wanted to call us the Stoke Vikings, I would have taken it.

Did you know?
Aston Villa Football Club was formed in Bourneville by workers from the famous Cadbury's works, and prior to them changing their name they were known as Bourneville Sporting Athletic, their nickname being "the mighty fudgepackers"
It's also worthy of note not a bit of that is true.

"These chips represent remarkable value for money"
"I thought Stoke were magnificent, to a man. There's not a single player i would like to single out for being poor."
"I used to sit in the family stand, but they have a tendency to get over-excited."
"I think the recent "Real Housewives of Cheshire" series has portrayed Phil Bardsley's wife in an excellent light."

I think this whole Diouf debate is bollocks. The lad works himself into the ground every time he plays, he's done a job he clearly wasn't brought here to do and done so without maoning and applied himself manfully to the task, even if he hasn't played well.
He constantly shows for the ball and will only get better. He is a confidence player and is currently low on confidence, but is still giving it everything, week in, week out.
There always has to be a scapegoat with a certain section of our support, and it really riles me. These are Halcyon days, the best since the mid 70's. Can we not enjoy it without trying to find fault every single time?

Not one person in a Stoke shirt had anything near a bad game. I was thoroughly impressed 1-11, plus the subs.
What a difference in Wilson though. There's a man who wants to keep his place. Fantastic vein of form at present. He was my MOTM, but frankly I wouldn't argue against anyone.

I know the area pretty well (I live in the Midlands) and would agree about the Vine. They do some of the best Indian food in the West Midlands, in itself no mean feat.
In terms of town, depends what you're after. There's a spoons called the Briar Rose about a 5 minute walk from New Street Station, and some good speciality boozers like the Brew Dog pub, the Wellington and the Post Office Vaults, which serve speciality beers and a five minute walk from New Street. Bacchus Bar underneath the Burlington Hotel (opposite New Street) is a good as well if you're taking the Mrs and don't want to get trampled in hoardes. One of my favourites.
Wolves offers far less options. The Tram used to be a giggle as it stops every five minutes (which offers suitable refreshment options) but at the moment it is under maintenance, so it isn't getting all the way to Wolves City Centre. And as someone who lives just outside Wolves, I wouldn't bother with Town. It's shite.
For train-travelling Stokies, remember that the Hawthorns train/Tram stops are not on the New Street Line. You need to walk acoss to Moor Street or Snow Hill Stations and catch the train/tram towards Stourbridge/Wolverhampton. Both are a five minute walk and it will take no longer than 10 minutes to get to the Hawthorns stations. You literally cannot miss the ground.
Hope this helps, if anyone wants to PM me for a bit more information feel free.

I thought Clattenberg was significantly better than anything that i have seen this season. Some of the officiating is dreadful and Clattenberg, barring the fact that Naismith got away with being a nauseating shite for too long, got virtually everything spot on.
He is without question the best referee in the league. The fact that everyone else is so far off his benchmark is the cause for greatest concern.

10*
How he is not being talked about as Manager of the Year is beyond me. He is an outstanding asset to this football club and i genuinely believe he has found his spiritual home.
Given £30 million to spend in the summer on the right acquisitions, I think we could replace Everton as one of the team looking to poop the party.

I like Burnley as a club. Their players kind of did it for me at the Brit though.
The fucking keeper going down with cramp after an hour to kill time was straight out the Pulis playbook. No wonder everyone hated us.

True, but it's reflective of our comparatively secure position in this most prestigious of leagues.
I still think if required, we could still knock socks off most.

Apparently, they were tremendously voiciferous, whereas we were dreadful Stoke's "Cauldron of Noise"
A few points for consideration for any passing Tiger; 1. You brought about 12 with you. Your support was poor and the lack of interaction may have been because it's hard to hear 12 people when you are 150 yards away. 2. Like every other football team, the atmosphere inside the ground is generally as a result of the activity on the field. You played with a back 8, and showed absolutely no ambition whatsoever to try to win a game of football. I genuinely thought about going after an hour. It was Pulis away at it's absolute extreme. You ought to be ashamed of that, not sniping at opposition fans.
3. We won. Ner-ner-ne-ner-ner 4. Your gaffer has a big fat swede of a head. But he did make us laugh. So i like him now.

Don't want to get massively involved in an anti-Stoke debate. It seems to be the lynchpin of this board at present. Will say this though, Ireland's tackle did him no favours. It was at best weak, at worst dangerous. Correct. But it doesn't, as Steve Bruce and Graham Poll seem to be insinuating, justify the assault on him later by Figeuroa. It doesn't, and frankly tit for tat nonsense should be above a Premier League Manager and what was apparently one of the best referees in the world.

Fair point Mark, but what can we conceivably do to change it?
Over the last two years we have played some good football, spent comparatively little and gone some distance to change the club's persona from it's perception under the darker days of the Pulis era. We should be the poster boys for a sustainable football team from the provinces yet still we are castigated as some sort of collection of orcs from the Midlands.
Anyone hear Jonathan Pearce's comment just before Crouch's goal on MOTD?, since promotion we have sold 98% of our tickets for home games. This is a fantastic, remarkable statistic, as is our commitment to affordable away travel for our supporters, our Season Ticket freezes (again) and our Chairman coming out and saying that it is vital that the latest windfall for Premier League rights cannot simply be spent on player wages, that we have to commit to the long term future fo the game. The press? Nothing.
I am extremely proud to be a Stoke City season ticket holder, and it is just a shame that because we are at the mercy of an unfavourable, predominantly Arsenal-supporting media, the hard work and effort that we put in goes unregarded.

Sunderland - Adam Johnson. Don't know if he would be a legitimate target though
Burnley - Ings. Nobody else in their squad who I think is better than what we have.
Leicester - Cambiasso if he was younger, but he isn't. Top class though. Again struggling to think of anyone that would make us better.
Villa - A few. Westwood is a good player, Benteke would give us another option up front and his star has been on the wane for about 18 months. That Gil looks a replacement should our little 'un need a rest next year as well.
West Brom - Think there could be some rich pickings here. Morrison is a good footballer, Mulumbu is a more mobile version of Whelan. At €4 million, I'd take a punt on Brown Ibiye as well.
QPR - Not enamoured with Austin, don't massively see the fuss. He looked lethargic at our place. Phillips would be a good addition, Fer is a good player.

I like Savage's honesty. He doesn't hold back with his opinions and as pointed out doesn't allow himself to be swayed by the bigger clubs, which can turn most pundits to the point of irrelevance.
That said, he's an illiterate moron, and his inability to get his point across should by rights see him nowhere near the MOTD seats. He really does struggle to put a coherent sentence together at times, and as a result his insight (such as it is) is diminished.
Hate to say it, but were it not for the dogging/wife beating/twitter escapades, Stan Collymore should have a much higher profile. He's wasted on Talkshite...
