Trippier is one we need to go for whether Burnley go down or not. Fabian Delph even though he has just signed I am sure he would move on if Villa go down

Trippier seems a no-brainer.
I really like Drinkwater, not sure if he's quite stepped up yet but time's on his side and he's always seemed a neat, tidy, busy holding player to me.
Matt Phillips? Too much of a conventional winger for our system?
Is Westwood still at Villa?

IF Villa were to go I wouldn't mind the lad Westwood even though he was dropped Saturday to bolster our midfield
Young and a local lad

Trippier and Ings (Burnley), Delph and Benteke (Villa), Fer and Austin (QPR): my list if any of those clubs drop.
I hear Leicester have a big German defender who may help to shore up our back line....... ;-)

Fabian Delph even though he has just signed I am sure he would move on if Villa go down Yeah - agree, but you'd think his sights would be well above us given the clubs he was linked with before he re-signed Trippier seems a no-brainer. I really like Drinkwater, not sure if he's quite stepped up yet but time's on his side and he's always seemed a neat, tidy, busy holding player to me. Matt Phillips? Too much of a conventional winger for our system? Is Westwood still at Villa? Drinkwater seems to get no love on that Leicester thread, Rob. It's all Mahrez, all of the time! Westwood's a strange one. He's lways seemed a bit 'meh' to me, but he's got his fans at Villa, as well as his detractors

Thanks to good management and a more attractive style of play I think we can now look a little higher than the best of a bad crop, not saying we might not get a gem but I feel we might now be a little more competitive and ambitious. It is difficult for us to believe but luckily LMH and his team have not been through what we have! We are now far more attractive than we have been - bring it on!

Trippier I was quite taken on until he came here and Moses spent a good 45 minutes examining his anus.
Not too sure on him.

Wasn't Drinkwater player of the season last season Grapey? I thought him and Cambiasso coming on turned the game at the Brit. Cambiasso coming on turned our home game, as Cambiasso being subbed off yesterday did the same. The 'sexy story' at the time was that it was all down to Cambiasso because he's the big name, but they were both excellent and at the Brit the dirty work (leave it, Boother) did created space for Cambiasso to get further up the pitch.

Trippier I was quite taken on until he came here and Moses spent a good 45 minutes examining his anus. Not too sure on him. Moses gave Zabaleta the run around for a fair bit as well tbf. Trippier is (usually) quite solid defensively but very good going forward. Be a decent signing in my book.

Taking nothing away from Moses on both counts, Zabaleta was poor and has been in poor-ish form for a while. There was just something about Trippier that I didn't like with how he dealt with Moses on the day. Could have just been an off day I suppose.
