Just noticed on the highlights when Diouf scored everyone rushed over and celebrated with Arnie and totally ignored Diouf.
Something sinister going on? Anyone else notice anything?

Maybe they just really enjoyed seeing arnie hit the post.
In all seriousness, zonzi celebrated with him so I doubt it.

Maybe because Arnie was the main reason we scored the goal?

He hardly went nuts himself did he, Diouf? I thought the team went to Arnie to give him credit for his part in the goal...it was nice to see the team give him some credit really.

Nah, they saw arnie cheering then feel down for missing. Diouf and arnie congratulated each other with smiles.
All's well at the Brit.

Just weird how players actually ran past Diouf and made a beeline to Arnie.
And also Diouf looked totally not bothered about scoring. Maybe just cuz it was a tap-in but Diouf had created the original chance and put Arnie through. The goal was down to Mame more than any other player really.

Diouff hasn't really celebrated his last couple of games. He said in the interview about some problems. Maybe he has had a personal bereavement as he looked to the sky after scoring.

Diouf's celebration was extremely mooted - the 'personal circumstances' would certainly fit that mould.
Several players celebrated with Diouf, whilst only one initially celebrated with Arnie - who looked absolutely gutted that he hadn't scored. That's when the other players ran over to Arnie, and he managed to crack a smile.
Arnie is more of a confidence player than most fans realise; if that had gone in, we'd have seen the same Arnie as we saw the back end of last season. The guy isn't stupid, and he'll be well aware that there are pockets of fans who are 'against' him because of his form - those doubters multiply ten-fold in your head when you're low on confidence. I personally thought his little cameo role was played out superbly - and might just be the start of a decent foundation for his confidence to be rebuilt.

OP is incorrect , players took their time to get to Arnie, the ones close to Mame celebrated with him first.

Just before Diouf came on we were getting deeper and deeper. Each ball out to Crouch was actually over his head and he couldn't press up the pitch and so Everton could play their pressing system of last season.
As soon as we brought Diouf on he did exactly what was needed, his pace allowed us to hit Everton on the break and there high pressing system back fired because we scored.
He is not the finished article, he never will be, but he's still a decent player to have about the place.
Anyone fancy Lukaku at £28m or Diouf for "free"?

Did he walk straight off at full time again? Shook a few stoke players hands and walked straight off. After the Stoke fan at Blackburn who ran down to the front of the stand to give him hand gestures, who can blame him.

There was a theory around where I sit that he's a professional footballer and not an NBA player.
His gloves were also offside at least three times.

Come on youth, yes he scored the goal, pretty much standing on the line, but lets not let that cover up another poor performance.
