We're 8th ffs, great times to be a Stokie and we've really put in the work for every one of those 42 points, tonight was no exception. Good starting X1, cracking team spirit and awareness of one another, even Arnie's getting the idea, we kept on pushing forward and creating, we had to take on board yet another injury but it didn't stop the momentum - and imho Everton are better than their league position, that wasn't nothing we were playing against tonight. One more lovely job of work from Sparky, and the lads it goes without saying.
9* from me

10* Right subs at the right time for the second game running.
For us to be in the position we are in this season he deserves the freedom of Shelton and Meir.

A very well deserved 9
Noticed the head of steam Everton were building up second half - who lets be fair put us under q fair bit of pressure, and nulified this somewhat with Diouf on for Crouch.
He must be one hell of a motivator to keep the players going full tilt for 90 minutes.

very close to 10
Picked the best possible team of what was available, had them up for it from the start and made the right substitutions along the way.
Well done, Gaffer!

Manager of the season for me.
No money spent used the squad very well after all the horrendous injuries, we/he keep bouncing back and getting superb results.
The players deserve a medal aswell, the character shown is superb.
Well done SCFC

10*
Not often I give a 10 but I honestly don't think he put a foot wrong last night. Made sense to start with the team he did - Crouch deserved a start. Coped with the early loss of Wolly. Got the subs spot on for the second game running.
Most importantly, despite the continuing injuries, Hughes has managed to instil belief in the players that they are good enough to beat most teams in this division.
Although I had a lot of time for TP, I'm loving Hughes' positive approach to games. We were winning 1-0 comparatively late in the game and he brought on Diouf (for pace) and Arnie (for skill) switching to a 442 to accommodate them. And he got his reward in the second goal which put the result beyond doubt. Scoring late is starting to become routine.
These are exciting times to be a Stokie and Hughes deserves massive credit for this. 23 points from 11 games - that doesn't happen by good luck. Hughes told us that his teams tend to finish the season strong - and he wasn't joking!

Does that make it an 11 for Hughes?

Does that make it an 11 for Hughes? Yes, Adam was a good call - given his rushes of blood to the head in the past, I have to admit I was worried before kick off. But he played with great discipline - as he did against Hull. Both Hull and Everton were very much "in your face" and Adam showed maturity, which I didn't think he had, not to rise to the bait.

10 out of 10.
Another side note is they seem to have worked hard with both full-backs Bardsley & Pieters to improve their reading of the game i.e. when to drop and defend and help out but also when to go forward and provide that all important over-lapping run.
It looks quite simple and is difficult to spot when it works well but its the most important part for a team wanting to create space. Having that option of the full-back on the outside offers a crossing opportunity and gives more space for those in the middle. Everton used to be the best at it with Baines and Coleman but last night our full-backs outshone theirs for sure.

I like the way Hughes rewards good performances with a place in the starting 11. Despite the injuries, he didn't have to start Adam. He picked him to reward him for a good showing in the 2nd half v Hull. Shows he is selecting on merit not favoritism. Players respond to this. SJW being a case in point.
