It was great during the seventies and eighties but not really watched for years - it's not as serious nowadays. I guess it was always meant to be a bit of fun but it's gone too far that way for me. The thing that struck me was there was no mention of who Asmir actually played for - why not? Those types of things rile me...as I say, I don't watch it but I can't imagine that being the case for say Rooney or Gerrard.

I like how Moses takes on defenders but not only that he tracks back well - his cut out of the cross when he got injured is a great example. He has put in a great shift in the last two games...I'd love him to be a permanent signing. That's why he is worth the money suggested. He wants to be a good footballer, not just a rich one. On that basis, I'd sign him for £8M...but that's easy for me to say after today's performance and no responsibility for the purse strings... but I think we could do a lot worse.

Bardsley, Shawcross, Diouf but I think Moses needs a special mention...am looking forward to him taking on defences throughout the season.

Fair play to Wilson but I do worry - in general, really - but they have done well broadly speaking but...I love this Moses guy...he looks just what we need...off the subject but he could suit us down to the ground.

I wasn't expecting to see Diouf and Crouch on the same teamsheet...worked brilliantly. Certainly did.

I'm very pissed with joy. I realise I've forgotten that win but, frankly, I don't care. Shit bin, please, but I can't be bothered to edit it .

I predicted 5 - 0 to MCFC - am happy to so wrong. It's a coping mechanism for me - nothing personal! Just settling down to watch Game of the Day(recorded).

Did my usual doom and gloom forecast of a 5 - 0 loss - just my way of coping with Stoke City - only to keep out of contact with TV, radio and mobile device whilst spending time with my family and get back to find we've done the bastards 1 - 0! How good is that...cue tuning into Final Score/Soccer Special being careful not to piss the wife off whilst catching up. So how do I make the most of this tremendous result? Offer to pay for some leccy, buy a Chinese and put up the curtain pole that's been waiting to go up for the whole of the Summer holidays whilst letting the wife know that I'll be watching Football First with a few well deserved beers...and here I am - kids and wife in bed, Sky's Match of the Day ready to roll, laptop to hand and enough beers to keep me going till bedtime. Bliss - thank you Stoke City - Monday at work will be easier to face, too.
I love being negative about Stoke - it makes these moments even more special - well done everyone at SCFC!!!

MCFC 5 - 0 SCFC.
We need to move on and start picking up points after today.

I think 11 v 11 would have suited us better but the trouble is the way Hull set up after going to 10 men will be like many others we face at home this season - men behind the ball, soaking up our lumbering attacks. We need some decisive, fast movement otherwise we will struggle to break anyone down. Not saying it won't happen in time and with Moses playing his part and hopefully Adam(no speed but he is able to play the killer ball) starting more often it should become a more regular feature but today it was woeful at times.

Bego 5 - has to take some blame for the goal. Bardsley 5 - not sure, as yet. Shawcross 6 - seems a bit nervous at the moment but had one good chance and was in the right place to get the equaliser Wilson 5 - we need some cover for him - is Huth still getting his fitness back? A back defender is really required. Teixeira to play against Pompey. Pieters 5 - so so. Whelan 5 - need an upgrade. Sidwell 3 - back up only, for me. N'zonzi 6 - ok. Odemwingie 5.5 - early second half crosses but faded. Arnie 3 - not at his best at the moment. Diouf 3.5 - am trying to keep faith with him.
Bojan 6 - he's lightweight - that worries me - but he did ok. Crouch 6 - we cannot let him leave, he does offer a plan b. Adam 6.5 - he should be starting - great shot and he's more decisive - no messing about.

We'll sort it out like we sorted it out last season. I bet 95% of the people whining about 'tippy tappy shit' also whined about Pulis's boring football... We'll get something out of this game Not me. I just want to win the God damn game in any way possible. I just don't think we have the players for this type of football nor do we for anything at the moment.

One and a half games in and we ain't creating chances - against sides we need to pick up points from - if you think 0 points is ok, then fine. Just where are we going to get a goal from?
