If you actually look at the stats of previous games before last night. We have often lost but still had more possession, more passes and a higher completion percentage than the other team. Passing is not our problem, its putting the ball in the net.
Eg. Against Blackburn we had 64% Possession, 523 passes with 81% accuracy to there 36%, 300, 66% yet we lost 3-1.

Everyone seems to forget, after winning last night’s match, that we had just lost 4 games on the trot !! Perhaps I’m a bit harsh and not as magnanimous as others Sure, but we were unbeated in 7 before those 4, so it's a glass half full/half empty situation Thats correct, I wonder when he realised that all he had to do was drop Jonas Wilmot?

I remember Nathan jones being the same… Not really, he was a runty little Welsh chap who refused to change his tactics.

The win was not thanks to him Tactically they were superior The manager deserves no credit for today’s 3 points from an unwatchable match The player he wanted and got in the January window Cundle was utterly useless - as he has been in all his appearances so far So by chance we got three points despite of the manager and his poor tactical choices and utterly shite substitutions and not thanks to him Apparently the QPR manager disagrees with you.

10, I am impressed, he did exactly what was required to nullify their play and get the result we needed. Shows he can adapt to the situation. Something Jones couldn't or wouldn't do.

Think you’ve been right all along about Wilmot. McNally and Rose aren’t Italian defenders but they are a better more competent pair that anything with Wilmot in it McNally was beyond awful in the first half, he kept getting way too tight to their striker and being turned. Rose’s inability to cover when the it one forward is astounding. Better second half because we dropped so deep and they were dealing with crosses. Neither can play in a two in a high line. Despite his errors, Wilmott has to play in a 4. We will do better if we play with full backs Are you joking, since Wilmot came back we lost 4 in a row. When Rose and Mcnally were playing we went 5 unbeaten, go back to them and we get a win. Dont change it.

Best Centre Half at the club - so yep, obviously keeps his place 😂😂😂 Funny you should say that we have lost 4 in a row since he came back?

I honestly thought we would get stuffed by them tonight so happy with the point. Reading the comments on here half of you haven't got a clue. We just lost 4 games on the bounce and your moaning about only getting a point. Give your heads a wobble.

Awful take. This squad is more than capable of a top half finish with any manager who has half an idea. There is no evidence to support that Beating Sunderland, Leeds and Boro?

When you think about it, the times we have done well in recent history have been with unpopular choices.

"proven in the championship" honestly gives me chills. Means they've usually failed. Corberan, Carrick, McKenna, Kompany etc etc etc none of those were Neither was Nathan Jones

Eating plenty of humble pie today and this last week, AN has done a superb job this week when a lit of Stoke fans including me had written him off, hopefully a corner has been turned, I will now get behind all the lads and the manager, c'mon Stoke!!!! Me too tbf. Fair play for the last week cos I never saw it coming in a million years haha, shown we can compete with the better sides in the league. What I don’t get tho is all this point making/ I told you so crap. The criticism previously was fully justified, how can people be happy with losing most weeks? Probably because they recognised quite rightly that we have had a complete reset and therefore the players need time to gel. Equally most would also realise that we are more than likely going to lose more games in the future and won't be wetting their knickers like some when that happens.

These the same people that wanted rid of the last manager? And the one before that, and the one before that? How's that working out? They didn't so the reason they wanted them out If an appliance is broken do you keep using it ! They also wanted Waddo and Pulis out what if they had got their way?

I would love to see AN turn things round, but are there some who just want him to continue failing, so they can say I told you so? Don't know who those people are Maybe they're sick of the results , sick of losing, sick of excuses and just want what's best for the club and want to see their team doing well, not languishing near the foot of the table . These the same people that wanted rid of the last manager? And the one before that, and the one before that? How's that working out?

Typical overreaction we were never going to achieve anything today with the number of players we had missing. I honestly believe we will turn it around but it won't be quick so get used to it. I don’t get how anyone not happy with that performance is overreacting. So so poor once again, yes we have injuries but what team doesn’t. We are in this mess because of poor management end of. As a club and fans we have to stop accepting such poor performances, get some pride back in the club. We just lose games now and it’s deemed acceptable, I don’t get it You know I was going to type a different response and then I thought fuck it, I cant be bothered. I am a realist and the team I support is an average team with an average manager what the hell do you think you will achieve by sacking him and replacing him with another average manager. Maybe just maybe once in a while we get a bit of success and it usually happens when you stick by the one you have. If the fans had their way we wouldn't have won the league Cup because Waddington would have been sacked, same with Pulis and Hughes. The majority of football clubs are unsuccessful and few get to win anything. We have had far worse periods in our history and I cant quite decide why fans are so negative nowadays is it the fact they were spoilt by 10 years in the Premier league or just a sense of entitlement that everyone seems to have nowadays?

They are influenced by other factors instead of impartially refereeing the game in front of them. Its ridiculous but for some reason we still seem to be suffering from our previous reputation for being a physical side. That old saying can they do it on a wet Wednesday in Stoke hasn't done us any favours.

I think nothing from recent times bothers me that much as you get older you realise its just 22 guys kicking a bag of wind around and there are far more important things to worry about in life. Then again as a teenager and losing at home to Blyth Spartans and then having to go into school the next day, terrifying!

And presumably if we replace him with another manager the problem simply goes away and therefore the excuse disappears? Like magic. with the right ppl in charge and the right appointment yeah , we’ve seen it this season with the right man , no excuse they aren’t my players , ask Carrick ask Mowbray The Sunderland team were not Moanbreys players either. AN put that team together. He's a good manager who needs time, anyone who thinks we are a quick fix is deluding themselves.

Not sure exactly what is trying to be said here. Basically unless your one of the top clubs your going to have ups and downs throughout your history. We had 10 years in the sun and now we are in the shade. We are currently on a down period. Doesnt mean you stop supporting your club, well it never used to.

Think you massively miss the point . The meet the manager is staged managed . Far better would be replacing Angela on weekly press duty a few times a year . Fans would have to be hand picked to ensure sensible questions and no rich language. So here’s another example. When in premier league we went something like 160 corners before scoring. Our current corner kick routines lack invention . It seems we just throw into the mix and hope our blocking strategies work. No Beckham/ Scholes corners ( last one was Fletcher v Watford) no sheringham corners ( Walters at West Ham the last) No Ocallaghan/ Maguire corners . No Sheffield United inventions . Over to you AN . I think he'll be fairly content with set pieces to be honest - I think only about three teams in the division have scored more from them than us? No you would get lots of pointless questions like the ones you suggested.

All our passes to the forwards have too much pace - why? Apparently lot of water on the pitch so they are probably overcompensating
