No - but solid bottom half seems most likely unless we get that new guy bounce most of us crave…… >80% if the poll is any indication (which was c.80% before yesterday’s debacle)

Read the title and immediately thought, no chance. Then I started to think about our struggles in front of goal. Add to that, a defence that we can’t be too reliant on and I started to doubt myself.
If I had to vote, I still say no, but it feels like it could be a close run thing right now.

Not really as I would hope the transfer window would improve us sufficiently to guarantee safety but the season is over re play offs I think?

And with sporadic team selections, substitutions and continued poor results i don't think we are too far from that point in all honesty. Neil has to go now in my opinion. He has failed. No point wasting time.

I think that talk of relegation is a little premature.
I think that if AN stays for the remainder of the season then we would grind out enough wins and draws to be comfortably clear.
A bottom half finish in the best we seem capable of achieving at the moment. The question is whether that is seen as being acceptable.
Having said all of that, if we fail to rack up a couple of decent results in our next two home matches then I might start to get nervy ...

Not really sensing relegation, even if we are lumbered with AN he should be able to grind out some wins down the line hopefully!

Depends who we sign in January Neil will be pinning his hopes on Travers returning in January, he'll be seeing him as the saviour.. If AN's still here to get the chance to get him back!

I said it feels like it could be a close run thing right now, because as mentioned above, the January window could galvanise things and, although play-offs are highly unlikely, I wouldn’t write things off at either end of the table yet. It’s a long season and the table is tight. The Championship is a crazy league.

We are, once again, REALLY shit.
It beggars belief.

Maybe I’m confused, just like the players are by the abject and distinct lack of direction demanded by the manager…

When your team turns to volleying it out of defence under no pressure whatsoever, not being able to pass the ball to a teammate and keep possession for more than 30 seconds and concedes piss easy goals to the lowest sides that the division has to offer, then yeah, I’m fearing it tbh under this current moron.

I've gone into the past few seasons with an overwhelming expectation of relegation. That way, if we go down I can't claim that it was unexpected and if we stay up then we've far exceeded my expectations.

No but 20th is hardly a team going places
The thing is, our form is bordering on relegtion form over the last say 3 months minus that slight upturn
Like last season , one month of results has papered over things

On December 1, 1997, we were 12th in this division, on 26 points from 19 games. We ended up getting relegated.

It should not be at all but given not only the results but our general approach and pretty awful in game management over the last five games, it does make one wonder.
Hopefully we will do what we normally do and go on a 2 or 3 streak beating 'better' teams that will see us safe
However, if you take the last 5 games we are bottom. QPR have also won back to back games so the gap starts to close.
If we lose against Wednesday next weekend then the potential risk does increase
Mind you teams like Swansea are probably thinking the same

Teams that go for 4 at QPR and concede 97th minute goals to Plymouth are only heading in one direction
As someone said the otherday, sooner or later we will drop. Certainly before we are challenging for the top tier again
If things carry on as they are that is

It really is a case of it just hasn't worked out for AN here. He's been given everything he could have hoped for and none of it has worked out. Adios Alex 👋

No, can’t see us being relegated, but it may get squeaky at some point.
But how many more fucking seasons do we have to endure with the fat lady starting to sing before Christmas?
It’s proper wank being a Stoke fan.

A big worry is that Cifuentes is starting to get a tune out of QPR while we stagnate
Wouldn't be surprised to see them above us come Jan ...didn't Neil predict top 6ish?

No, I think we’ll be ok. But that’s more down to 3 others being worse than us & not on our abilities. Going to be a long, cold, miserable winter.

Comfortable with 3 games to go but a near disaster of a season

Absolutely, the quality of football from both teams yesterday was straight outta 3rd division. We looked awful at times and without much effort or application. I suggest we don't just shrug off the suggestion, QPR looked way better than us on Tuesday.
