Adrian Durham's football qualifications are what?Coach?Player? manager?Kit man? No.His opinions are completely without authority. He's not Hansen or Lineker or Shearer.Hes just the gobbiest kid in the class and therefore not worth a minute of anyone's time. With that logic no fans opinions including yours are worth a minute of anyone's time. BM Fans including me arent in a national newspaper or on the radio giving 'expert' opinions to millions. That fucker earns a living from his'opinions'which any fan is absolutely entitled to.I've noticed this rise of the commentator as pundit recently. The reason ex pros are pundits is they know what they're talking about.Commentators know no more than you and me.

I love this'Crpuch doesnt carry a goal threat' nonsense.86 premiership goals.4 short of Shearer for headed goals.22 in 40 games for England. And Ric carried more of a goal threat?

What he doesnt 'fit their system' like he did ours? He wont fit any premeiership system because he's bone idle.

Crouches career 86 prem goals,Champions League Final,Fa cup winners medal and 22 goals in 40 games for England would of course indicate that he's a) 'crap' and b)'lucky'. He also scored the best goal ever at the Brit but then that was a 'fluke' .Wasn't it?

I think people are missing the fact that he is actually getting on with his job and is playing anywhere he is told to play. The things everyone says he should be doing, Crouch is doing! Yeah, but why let the facts get in the way of a few folks climbing on their high horses Or adding to their anti Crouch agenda now that Kenwyne(who 'fits the system' has been exposed for not fitting any system anywhere.

Nowhere in what Crouch says does he say he 'hates playing the role'. What he actually says is eminently sensible. Funny isn't it. I remember some of his worst critics on this thread making out Kenwyne was the answer!

This isnt really difficult or tactical. The guy just doesn't work hard enough.Hence the regular substitutions. He is, however undoubtedly talented. The classic enigma that I'm afraid always ends one way unless the workrate is increased.

Another one I'm afraid with'Bentdner Complex' an irrational condition that leads the sufferer to think he's better than he actually is(see Guidetti syndrome).

I'm also liking the leadership qualities I'm seeing.Bollocking others and rallying.Captain material? No implied criticism of Ryan from me,he's a great captain but Crouchy is leading from the front at the moment.

If I was a Championship Chairman desperate to get out of the division at all costs I would hire TP as my first choice.Once I got up I may think again. This curse of the 'new owner' with money and no clue seems to be afflicting the Championship now so he probably won't get the job.

Having already posted a thread in praise of Hughes I agree things are on the up.
However no-one should ever forget the contribution Tony Pulis made to this club.
Yes we're evolving but TP did a lot of the hard yards.

If you had told me I'd be watching a Stoke city side pass and indeed annoyingly overpass at times like they did last night I never would have believed it.
The transformation in such a short space of time is nothing short of remarkable .
To be honest I didnt think it was possible and full credit to Hughes and the coaching staff for the work that must have been put in on the training ground.
To hear an old experienced football hand like Ronnie Moore wax lyrical about our passing was almost surreal.
Long may it continue but praise where praise is due.

'Peter deserved his goal because he kept the ball so well for us high up the pitch'Mark Hughes in the Sentinel.Because of his touch, vision and link up play that's what he offers instead of Kenwyne who is strong, quick(but not that quick).
You pays yer money...

Excellent tonight. His touch and link up play was excellent. One moment on the touch line was mesmerising and I thought him and Arnautovic looked to have a good understanding.Took his goal beautifully.Pace and power or touch and finesse?I would go for Crouch against Norwich.

Peter Crouch has had a career Kenwyne will only ever dream of.22 goals in 40 internationals, champions league final,FA cup winners medal, winning goals away in the San Siro.
When Kenwyne leaves Stoke it will not be for a bigger or 'better' club.Only Swansea wanted him in the window and even they changed their mind. He's not bad, puts himself about and is strong. He isn't a goalscorer and isnt anywhere near as pacy as people on here make out.He is also lazy (cliche but a fact)Crouch didnt have a good season last year but Messi would have struggled we were so defensive.
I like many on here would like to see Crouch with pace alongside him(like real Defoe type pace) or at least two quick wingers.
Crouch was not 'finished the day he arrived'.He got 15 goals in a defensive system and the best goal ever seen at the Brit.

Kenwyne Jones has no class. All Hughes will think is that if he's prepared to shaft Pulis he'll shaft me too.
