They've just sacked David Weir after a poor start
What are the chances of Tone getting a call?

Fair drop down the leagues for a proven premiership manager. I can't see it

He does like his 'proper' clubs though. Sheffield united are like a little bit bigger version of us so you never know, but I guess it might depend on board stability too.

It's a big enough club for him, they really should be a PL club. They've had an Arab on board now for a few months haven't they? So you would assume that there is money there.
League 1 is a horrible league to be in and a club of that stature shouldn't be down there. There's a lot of potential there for someone to turn them back into a PL club again.

At the very least Championship. League One is not where he belongs. Waste of talent.

He would do well for them.
I reckon he'd like the challenge.

Maybe he's waiting to see if Chris Coleman survives as manager of Wales?
Would he pick Ramsey?

Capable in packing them in to the rafters. I'd imagine if there's cash available to spend then i'd imagine Pulis would find it very appealing in attempting in awakening a sleeping giant.
I'd find it very attractive too no matter if i'd managed at the highest level previously.
You never know, if Pulis were to take over there then we could well be playing them next year.

Another Sheffield Utd legend? Beattie That crossed my mind, Beattie was on Talksport saying that his duties at Stanley included cleaning the bogs. He sounded a bit fed up. Apparently the Blades crowd has dropped to @5,000 so there's massive potential for improvement for anyone who could step up/down to the challenge. Nigel Clough? It'd be a pisser if TP took the project on and used the owner's wedge next summer, to buy a few 'names' to drag them up the divisions. Let me see.... Peter Crouch, Jon Walters, Glen Whelan, Matthew Etherington..... Andy Wilkinson... whoever, he could even take Alabi, Waring, Tully on hire. I'll consult the tea leaves.

Sheffield would be a bastard to get to from Sandbanks. Can't see it. If I'm honest I can't see Tone getting/taking another management job at all.

Sheffield would be a bastard to get to from Sandbanks. Can't see it. If I'm honest I can't see Tone getting/taking another management job at all. Not really - along the south coast, up the A34, along M42, up the M6, PAST THE BRIT, up Weston Coyney Road, through Wetley Rocks to Leek. Over the top to Buxton, through Dove Holes, down through Winnats Pass, along to Hathersage - then a quick shufty on the final stretch to Sheffield. TRUST ME Tone - that's the best route ;-).

With the size of the club and the potential to get things going again at a good club I can see this happening although someone I work with has told me this afternoon that Clough is nailed on for the job so who knows?

Australia has sacked their manager after a 6-0 defeat with France. Could it be a team for TP? They goes to the WC.

The scuttlebutt is that Guus is back in the frame for the Socceroos job. I for one hope that's true.
The Capped One wouldn't want to leave Sandbanks ..... would he?
We need a manager who will leave a legacy and not play the more tactical short term role. Holger Osieck has paid the penalty for doing just that. It will be a great trip to Brazil on the coat tails of Osiek's results, but a tough job to reinvigorate a dispirited team.

Either location takes 4 hours + I'm guessing but I'd say Sheffield would be about 30 to 45 minutes longer a drive than Stoke from Poole - assuming you pick up the M42 south of Birmingham.
