A Lot of stokies may disagree but I honestly believe other players are making arnie look shit, in his mind and in his feet he is one step ahead of everybody else and you can see his frustration every time a good pass into space is wasted. I honestly believe with better players around him he will be an outstanding player for us and don't believe he did not deserve to be taken off tonight, 2 or 3 moments of magic!

I don't know why he was hooked so early either, seemed up for it and was doing well. Whelan however.......

Can only assume that he might of not been fit still, because he did okay, I thought Assaidi would of come on for Odemwingie. Agree with better players around him, broke twice from a corner and would of been 1-1 if he been put through quicker or AT ALL

Hughes wants shooting for taking him off. Ridiculous decision.

Hughes wants shooting for taking him off. Ridiculous decision. He was having a running argument with Adam, shouting at him and ignoring play, and looked ready to explode - most sensible thing Hughes could have done. Too often a passenger if he doesn't fancy it.

I just assumed he was giving him a hour with coming back from injury, and letting assaidi have the other half hour for the same reasons

Hughes wants shooting for taking him off. Ridiculous decision. And to think that Whelan remained on the pitch ( all be it for 10 minutes) makes it even more baffling!

I like Arnie but he was a fucking liability.
Flashes of brilliance accompanied being indisciplined wank.
I thought it was the right decision to sub him especially as he had been gesturing about an injury for a good while before going off.
He started really well but quickly went off the boil and left Pieters hideously exposed.

The problem is his flashes of brilliance are on the half way line and not where we need them. He doesn't seem to get in right places he doesn't come in the middle when we are attacking more.

Im starting to think hes playing in the wrong league. He wants it to happen in slow motion with intricate build up, and too often the hurly burly is just too much and fast.
When he has a yard of space he can make things happen but whenever he gets closed too fast he just loses possession.
compare him to Odemwingie who is not as flamboyant but hes up with the pace of the league and can break the first tackle to keep possession.

Very dangerous thing to say. "Other players are making him look shit" I think that was Dave Kitson's excuse as well. I'm only being slightly daft there, i'm not slagging of Arnautovic before somebody jumps in, i just think it's just a ropey thing to say. "Vincent Pericard was mint, it was just his team mates weren't on the same wavelength as him. They made him look shit"

He was open and had space in front of him a few times and our midfielders let him down. Good player but very patchy atm..

If he just needs a set of more technically gifted teammates to bring out his zenith, why did he never make it beyond a summer camp at Inter Milan? That's right, because Jose Mourinho realised that he's a fucking simpleton.
Don't get me wrong, a good player is hiding somewhere inside that pudgy oft-disinterested exterior - we see flashes sometimes - but the whole "his teammates are letting him down" thing is simply desperate.

No I disagree, it is not his fault that the players around him ( not all) are not good enough to play in the premier league! He has the most quality on the ball than anybody else at the club he is a great talent and if others had his vision he could be a phenomenal player for us

Truly good players can play with anybody.
At the amateur club I coached at over here, we had a lad turn up at the start of one season who was head and shoulders above anyone else playing for us. I spent weeks trying to get him to "play down" to the level everyone else could manage. He couldn't manage to do that. No shame on him and none on the rest of our lads. But you have to put out a team that works, not just the best 11 regardless.
Arnie tries too many things that are too hard and not enough that are easy. He certainly is a show-pony, but we have carried one of those on many occasions over the years and they have often won us games. There's nothing wrong with a show pony - and many things right - but there has to be end product on a pretty regular basis.
I think Hughes will continue to swap Arnie and Assa around until the end of the season. Arnie needs a summer with us to try and get him to play it a bit more simple - most of the time - and on the same wavelength as his team mates (most of the time).
(Assa I would buy, if we could, but I don't think we'll get him)
