He's a Sobhi supporter isn't he, rather than a Stokie?
His words not mine.

I expected Jack to go to the Shit in the summer, but if Liverpool are offering decent money and he wants to go then all the best (unless they're playing us, then he can get fucked).

I'd be happy with QSF. I think the club are showing some ambition and a willingness to adapt by going after a manager like him, presenting the club as a project and offering to back him well in the transfer market. As good a manager as he may be appointing MON would have felt like more of the same. Hoping he accepts.

I'd rather take the chance of a good appointment than put up with Sparky's shite a minute longer, even if it does all turn to rat shit.

That choice plus his open Republican sympathies must really please those amongst the baggies support affected by the Bombings I wonder how wearing a poppy and barking out the national anthem would have made those affected by the murderous activities on Bloody Sunday feel? Name me a society that hasn't been involved in atrocities of one form or another down the years. Tell you what lets all just take McClean's attitude, perpetuate the resentment, breed the hatred, see where that ends up.......................................

So Basically the board give him a chance to win a team way down the leagues and then its Man U away next. What do we do, wait until the 21st when we play Huddersfield to make a decision?? I give up I really do. I suppose if they sack him after Huddersfield then they will have the excuse of not spending anything in January . Unfathomable to say the least. If we lose to Coventry does he get the boot? If we beat Coventry but lose to United he will i assume stay till Huddersfield, if we lose that one ( likely ) do we sack him then with yet another game down the spout & precious little January window left? What happens in terms of incoming players in the meantime, sign nobody because we are nor sure who the manager will be ( disaster ), sign players Hughes wants & him still ending up jobless before the month is out ( disaster ), let our mega awesome recruitment team fill the holes in the squad taking it out of MH or a new gaffers hands ( disaster ). What a total clusterfuck, there is only one decision to be made as it sits & we dont even seem capable of making that, Either give him the shove today or come out today & say he will be in charge for the rest of the season & backed in the window, do they really think we can just continue to meander like this, this situation is totally poisonous. That pretty much sums it up mate. The logical decision would be to sack him now. Having said that the correct decision would have been to sack him last May.

A caller on TalkShite this afternoon floated the idea of O'Neill and Keane taking over until the end of the season.
I can see the logic in that on a short term basis. Would get rid of Hughes, give us time to look for a permanent manager in the summer and hopefully give us a chance of avoiding relegation. They would also be able to stay on with Ireland.

Spinks was on TalkShite early this morning. His actual words were: "I've not been given an assurance by the powers that be that he will be in charge for the next game" Judging from his tone it sounds to me like Hughes is going. Fingers crossed ! Indeed.

Thread title should be "least shite player of the season!".
Oh ignore me, I missed the Chelsea game, just watched the highlights and can't believe some of the calamity defending I've just seen. Fucking sick of the shameful defeats.
Someone at the club please grow some balls and sack the fucker!!!!!!!!!!

Great result but apart from the goal the 2nd half was abysmal. We let a shocking WBA side walk all over us and a team with any quality/confidence would have bagged a hat-full in the 2nd half alone.
Plus Hughes is still here!
10 out of 10 for the pic of Bo though.

Leave the lad alone for god sake. He is showing he has emotions and feelings. If he wasn't upset and showed no emotion then i would be concerned. Keep giving the players support. We need them to keep us up. We are supporting the players, it's the manager who's getting the stick and if the players can't understand why then they must have had their heads in the sand for the last 2 years.

This has the feel of 'losing manager gets sacked' about it. I can't help thinking it might be a good thing for us to lose and Hughes to go. I can't see him being able to turn things around permanently even if we get a good result today. I got plenty of stick when I suggested something similar a few weeks ago. I just want Hughes gone.

Fabregas Wilshere Costa Roy Keane
There must be special places in Hell reserved for Keane and Fabregas, hopefully together as I think they'd hate that.
If Costa was at Stoke I'd love him though.

Plenty of knickers getting in plenty of twists over my previous post. Lets straighten a few of those panties out. Got nothing to do with validating my opinion. Opinions are like arseholes, one doesn't have any more meaning/weight than any other and obviously that applies to mine. Sad? Possibly. See above comment. The reason I posted that comment is that I believe it would be in the longer term interests of the club to appoint a new manager. I want Stoke to do well, improve wherever possible and perhaps even win a trophy. The last 18 months has convinced me that most of this will not happen with Hughes as manager. I never want Stoke to lose and I didn't say that. I said I'd accept a loss if it meant Hughes leaving. I'm sure others may feel the same, but this is the oatcake. Judge away. I know what you mean. There's a difference between actually wanting Stoke to lose (which I'm sure you don't) and defeat starting to take on an unwanted silver lining. That's the point I'm at. I always want us to win and I want Hughes to turn it round. However, I'm convinced he won't and that we're heading down, so thinking long term, removing the manager as quickly as possible starts to become more prominent in your thoughts. Exactly. To be fair I shouldn't have used the word happily in my post, too strong in that context. Accept would have been more accurate. My mistake.

Surely threads wouldn't make sense then though. Also, isn't it a bit arrogant to disregard someone's opinion to the point of completely censoring them? After all, how would you know if what they're saying turns out to be right or wrong if you never know what they said in the first place? The poster I've blocked doesn't post fact, an opinion masquerading as fact or just plain opinion, mostly vague insinuation and regurgitated rumour. My conscience is clear.

You should heard the BS on NBS Sports. Lee Dixon, Rebecca Lowe, Carl Martino and Robbie Mustoe all whinging that Arsenal should have had 3 penalties and a goal. I can't wait. Hate the top 6 bias in the US. Disgusting. just as bad here!
