NONE WHATSOEVER. A great team performance, great to see Tom Edwards have a good game, great to see Sobhi scoring, and who would deny him his yellow card producing celebration. Thought the ref was OK. We defended our lead stoically, though last 5 mins was as nerve wrecking as ever. Marks out of 10....

Great result but apart from the goal the 2nd half was abysmal. We let a shocking WBA side walk all over us and a team with any quality/confidence would have bagged a hat-full in the 2nd half alone.
Plus Hughes is still here!
10 out of 10 for the pic of Bo though.

Actually, besides being a great result, we did not fold when they scored, the players continued to fight despite not being on top of the situation. Last but not least, they scored a 3rd goal. That eventual recovery could be a gold nugget in terms of gaining some self belief - for both team and manager. Finally, lovely tits!

Some lads in block 24 were absolutely hounding Sobhi. Borderline racism as well. I believe someone near took pictures of them and did point a few figures and have a few words.
Soon as he scored everyone there who had heard what the lads were saying turned around to laugh at them but surprisingly they were nowhere to be seen.

No negatives?
The only reason we won the game is because West Brom are a very poor side. Hughes is lucky we weren't playing a top team because we could have been thrashed yesterday.
First half West Brom had 3/4 goal scoring chances but they didn't take any of them because Rondon is shite. If those chances to fell to Aguero or Kane they would have punished us and we'd go behind yet again and we all know that we don't come back from a losing position.
The ONLY 2 first half chances were taken really well. That was the difference; we finished our chances. So, 2-0 up at half time, against arguably the worst team in the league, we should have gone out surely looking to kill the game off. What the fuck did Hughes say at HT? We were abysmal and 3-1 was a flattering score line.
So yeah plenty of negatives imo. Teams we should be beating comfortably (Swansea, WBA,) we are scraping to get a result. Hughes still has to go before he spends Coates' money on the wrong players, yet again.

I'm all for giving the whining and moaning a miss after a victory, but let's not delude ourselves.
We were absolute toss and so were they.

A win is great, the goals were great, Edwards having a decent game is great, Zouma being back is great, Butland looking much more like himself is great, Cameron being put back in midfield is good.
A win shouldn’t mean all other analysis stops though.

That’s the beauty of the Xmas period it’s the only time the games come thick and fast, you can enjoy being a football fan instead of a wannabe Manager which lets be fair we all are.......

I'm all for giving the whining and moaning a miss after a victory, but let's not delude ourselves. We were absolute toss and so were they. Don't agree. We played some decent stuff in the first half, Choupo's goal before half time was a good move. We fought hard to hold onto our lead, despite the efforts of a team trying hard to resurrect itself and only narrowly losing to Man Utd last week. Our third goal was as unselfish play as I have seen all season anywhere. We were tenacious in the first half and dogged in the second. It was a good win for us. There's a hell of a long way to go and we could do with something from Huddersfield, but it is a better display than we have seen for a while. Think Ryan switched off for their goal, as did a few of them in the first 10 of the second half. Wimmer had his best game for us yet. We were lucky at times, but you need luck, against West Ham we had none. I hope this is the start of a bit of a run. Up the Potters!!

A win shouldn’t mean all other analysis stops though. True but once you accept we're in a relegation battle a 3-1 against relegation rivals should be celebrated and enjoyed for what it is. Luckily it was at the ground more than it has been by the mizogs on here! All our failings were writ large in that second half but people are making out that West Brom were in some way unlucky, which is utter horse shit!

It was a day of firsts (in a good way ) 1st time we'd scored more than 2 in a game. 1st time winning by more than 1. 1st premiership goal for Ramadan 1st of the season for Allen
However both teams showed , barring a dramatic change , why they will both be in the mix.
Then again it looks like 10th and below will be !

I did thoroughly enjoy every goal mate and went absolutely mental when the third went in. I’m not built to just stop and pretend only good stuff happened though, just as I’m not one to ignore any positives, however small, after a defeat.

Before kickoff having got served straight away in the half empty concourse and enjoying the extra space from having empty seats around,l was thinking that life back in the championship wouldn't be all bad. Then we go and get three points!

For crying out loud fella's. I suspect it was a very much 'tongue in cheek' OP.
Can't we have a bit of a laugh anymore without all the Private Frazers turning up en masse?
I'm fairly certain Shanghai knows there were loads of negatives from yesterday but just for once, we won, it's Christmas, so lets be happy. At least until 5pm on Boxing Day.
PS at least no-ones mentioned papering over the fucking cracks. Oh hang on......

I think some fans on this forum are deluding themselves. Nothing I saw yesterday gave me cause for optimism for the future under Hughes. Yes, we were better tin the first half, but West Brom were abysmal. In the second half against a better side we would have conceded 2 or 3 goals. Again Hughes' substitutions continue to baffle. Right decision to take off Fletcher who has struggled to make an impact in the last 3 or 4 games, but why wasn't Charlie, who did well after coming on last week get a chance? Left back still a problem. Let's hope Opare comes here, but I wouldn't trust Hughes with my hard earned money. He has probably earned a reprieve from the board after yesterday, but certainly not a deserved one!! Hope board sees sense and replaces him!!

Negatives? -pretty much the entire second half AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! and, I am totally fed up craning my neck for the entire said second halves, whilst watching rubbish football teams take the initiative and proceed to give us another self inflicted going over.Simply not good enough for this to be routine(mr Hughes) whilst playing in front of your home support
