If we lose to Chelsea, the odds are, we will lose,But if we do pull it off and beat Chelsea, feel free to to ask Coates to extend M Hughes's contract.

The injury news really takes off any pressure that might have existed (little if any).

We'll do well not to get absolutely rinsed.
Don't know about a contract extension, I think a knighthood is in order if we get anything out of this one!

Why do we have such bad luck with injuries. We seem to have more than any one else & always in key positions. I will not be screaming for Hughes head but i am expecting a possible thumping hopefully less than 4 goals.

Unfair to put him under pressure tomorrow, but if the Southampton and Bournemouth games don't see an improvement in perfomance and results, questions need to be asked.
He's had plenty of credit in the bank, but he must be approaching his overdraft limit soon.

I don't expect to win; but, I do expect 100% effort (oh, and a sensible well-thought plan wouldn't hurt either).

I don't think it would have amounted to much anyway even if we got walloped. The day a loss to a team like Chelsea influences the future of a Stoke Manager is the time to give up but tomorrow is just a complete free hit now after the team news. Anyone booing or chanting anything negative needs certifying.

The next 2 months will shape both our and his future. He has revamped the squad to a degree but there are still massive issues to address. We still don't look like scoring enough and and if Fletcher or Allen get injured options in midfield look limited. Coates does, intentionally or not have a safety net, 2 of his favorites are currently club less, Moyes & Allardyce so if things go pear shaped he is good to go!!

1pt will be a minor miracle given the injuries. Heart, nerve and sinew needed tomoz and lots of luck to keep our reasonably good start to the season going.
Raise the fecking roof from start to finish no matter what the score, our team have put in some great effort so far and they need our help tomoz

It's footy and it's Stoke City. Anything can happen! Yep. Whilst odds are they'll win at a canter all it takes is a bit of magic from someone and a bucket load of luck. One things for sure they won't sit back. We absolutely have to counter like mad men tomorrow. Get every bit of pace we have on the pitch. Sent from my SM-G928F using proboards

What are the injuries? Can anyone summarise for the ignorant like me? I'm frightened now!! Shawcross and Cameron ruled out, Wimmer very doubtful. Our defence is looking threadbare to say the least. BMI is the only fit senior centre half.

Perhaps we could start by giving a Championship reserve side a game or is that too demanding and unrealistic?

I'm off to Scotland this weekend and will miss the match. Not very confident about us for this game. All that most Stoke fans want is a bit of fight and a bit of hard work. We are not expected to get much from this game but all we are asking is for a bit of hope and commitment. Most footy fans are hardworking folk and deserve the same from their teams players. I think Hughes is devoid of any new ideas and his time here will soon end. Cheer the boys on if they deserve it, slaughter them and Hughes if they deserve it. A draw would build a bit of confidence but a battering will suck the life out of fans and players.

Despite our injuries I think we will be difficult to beat. Hughes does seem to have found a decent game plan for these games this season.
Its all the other games where we look totally lost.
As we have 1 fit centre back available, that centre back being one that didn't have a pre-season with us,I can't see us avoiding defeat today

Bloody Hell listen to some of us. It's as if we've already played the game, and lost.
We gave a good account of ourselves against two "big" sides only a handful of games ago.
It is possible, but not certain, that we will lose this. Every game is an opportunity.
If we have a good day we could absolutely get a point here. Even if we do lose, let's look at the performance as well.
I know, Bristol reserves and all that, but this is a new game and a new opportunity.
