What I am saying are their any choices which are possible which would get the majority support? Tricky!

Leicester weren’t exactly excited about Claude Puel but he’s done well

Probably a bit out of date now anyway - and it's impossible to decide who might be 'realistic' anyway! I think it might come down to an uninspiring bunch of people like Pearson and the O'Neills, but obviously if you include people like Koeman and Rodgers (and even Rowett), they'll get all the votes. So it's a bit tricky to set one up that means anything!

Fair point mate, as mentioned at the time, there is no stand out realistic candidate really & getting anyone on here to agree on anything is nigh impossible.

Surely it’s gotten to the point now where any change is better than what we’ve got currently. It doesn’t even need to be a master tactician manager, just someone with a bit about them who can show belief in the players and bring fresh ideas. Any change has got to be better than what’s currently being served.

Aah I remember, on another thread prestwichpotter confirmed he was a possibility, and prestwich sometimes gets inside info. Another poster on this board was extolling is virtues recently and won me over. He is a good organiser and will have better quality to work with than he had at boro

Well we're clearly thinking of getting rid, it seems like we're not sure where a new manager would come from. To me this says we're not just locked-in to looking at a British manager.
Of course, one of those option will be keeping Hughes.

"Many options are being considered" is this year's, "closely monitoring the situation".

Not sure what to make of that. I conclude they are somehow (unfathomably) surprised to be where we are and are starting to panic. I believe that no feelers have been put out and we are massively behind where we should be in appointing a new man. Utterly pathetic really.

Everybody needs to get it through their heads, Hughes ain’t going anywhere. Coates didn’t sack Pulis, Pulis left because of the structural changes which Coates either agrees with or has no authority to change. Hughes will work under these conditions and is happy to collect his salary. I guarantee Hughes has had very little input into the recruitment of players, and unless the whole lot go nothing will change.

Do they even have a list of possible replacements?
Im not sure how Coates likes to operate.
Was Hughes ever approached and sounded out before they got rid of Pulis? I know he doesnt really like doing things behind manager's backs so I guess the search will start only after they decide to get rid of Hughes.
We have a month left in the transfer window so if they are going to get rid it has to be this week surely and will probably take a week or 2 to get a replacement in leaving little time for squad additions

If anyone's been in any doubt that the people running the club have a single fucking clue how to operate, today's a pretty good indicator. What a fucking clown show.
