Deserves the respect of every stoke fan, he came back here and took an average championship side at best into the best league in the world where we are doing nicely, ok some games we have surrended points maybe unecessarily, but lets not get carried away survival again this year is an achievement. I dont agree with everything he does, and do not understand selecting either mama or diao but he has his reasons which i respect, Tony conducts himself brilliantly in the media He's not gonna work miracles overnight but as we have seen we have started to attract better quality players which im sure will continue, who would have thought three years ago we would have Huth and Tuncay in our squad. three cheers for super tone hip hip horayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! 3 points tomorrow

Deserves the respect of every stoke fan, sorry not mine atm. Very accurate post but why oh why does he do the obvious things so very wrong, Diao, Whitehead is a very sore point with me.

No offence Eton...but must we have 20 threads everyday saying the same thing....Do we pay homage to the Icelanders for saving this football club 10 years ago to enable Coates and Pulis to take it to where we are now?....the answer is no...move on mate

Tony conducts himself brilliantly in the media Would be good if he could learn to stop picking/scratching his nose when interviewed though!!

Yes he might have bought Huth, but he is another liability, and not worth being in the team. Sorry Tone, but just like Whitehead, Collins and Diao, wrong signings.

Diao was ok in championship, while i agree whitehead and collins are average, im sure once fully settled Huth will become a quality signing, German international - love them or hate them they dont get much wrong at international football

I hope that you are still feeling this chirpy come may eton as i believe we are in for a relegation battle. People like you are half the probably for this negative crap on here (All this "we need to move on and bigger picture nonsense!) - You are so so so deluded that you didn't think we weren't in for a relegation battled, we could be in for them type of battles for a number of seasons to come! FFS there has and will be bigger and better clubs gone from this league! Its nothing short of a miracle we are where we are, and more so if we can stay there. Stability is needed not panic!

The miracle mate is that Lord Pete and his family struck lucky in the internet gambling business and he convinced them to invest a chunk of it into the football club he abused for ten years.

If he ever admits to making a mistake and not blaming a bad result on everything including the weather and global warming, then he'll get my respect.
Whitehead is winning me over, Huth is a major worry, Collins needs to play CH.
If we're going to persist with 4-4-1-1 (and I can't see it changing), then we need to play it into feet and have Tuncay as a link up from midfield to Fuller.
I'd also give Pugh a go at either left back or left side of central midfield.
