We seem to going down faster than George Best & Gazza ..... I just hope we have better powers of recovery. ??? I think a relegation battle looms closer.... Sixteenth ..(Second season syndrome)

I'll be well happy if we stay up at the rate we're going. If Tone loses his pig headedness and makes a couple of good signings I'm still confident we'll be ok.

Spirit at the club is in question but the effort from certain players is there. Current form suggests a relegation battle. Bottom 3 at the moment for me.

Playing players like Whitehead, Diao and Sidibe and leaving out others of much better quality is hard to explain regardless of tactics or gameplan.
Good players like Lawrence, Tuncay, Fuller ,Beattie could and should play every week...! Both Lawrence and Tuncay could play more out wide , with Beattie and Fuller playing as our two up front. If Tone can 'mix and match' in defence and midfield with players of lesser ability,.. then this in my opinion is bugger all by comparison.

If Pulis carries on with Diao, Whitehead and Collins in the first XI then we'll either get relegated or come very, very close to it.
If he plays his best team then we'll probably finish between 11th and 14th, which would be fine.

On current form I'd be thrilled with 17th. The squad has the potential to finish top half.

On this form bottom three without doubt unless we bring in two quality midfield players, we now have enough headless chickens on our books.......

I think this thread underlines the fact that if Stoke are relegated then it can only be because of one person - the Manager. Clearly we have a good enough squad to survive. A couple of good signings in Jan would see us have the makings of a cracking side* **
*if picked ** if played in correct position

I think we'll finish between 11th and 16th and not enter the bottom three at any stage of the remainder of the season. Keep the faith, mumf

10th... IF we make at least one signing as good as BT next month and get Liam back in the starting XI before he buggers off. With the exception of today we've played a lot better in the past month than when we were falsely riding high in the form tables, but if we don't start scoring goals that's not worth a lot, we've got to get converting or we could be in trouble.

If 17th will do for alot of fans on here, season after season just for the privilege saying we are in the premiership, then i say they are wasting there money.if fans don't show any ambition don't expect Pulis show any....in fact you are saying you are glad to put up with any shit as long as we stay up......we may as well close this board down now

Of course it's a bit too close for comfort but, I honestly believe that Stoke can become a decent established club in time at this level. To finish top 10 this year and next followed by relegation would be pointless for example.

I still stick with my pre-season prediction of 17th, although it looks like we will have to climb out of the bottom 3 to do it.

The bottom 3/17th if we have a bit of luck We cannot be going into the last game against man utd at old trafford, needing anything from it to survive because it simply won't happen. Nor can we play, frantically watching other teams' results in order to keep our head above water. At the moment though, i genuinely fear both scenarios will occur

We will stay up having never been in the relegation places from the first whistle to the last.
