I don't think their first single was ever released as a flexi disc. They did do coloured versions though, worth about what you sold it for now. u2 wasn't a flexi disc. Just very thin vinyl. Yeah thought so.

I don't know if you were the same but the famous "import" and the coloured vinyl were all part of this rarity process. A very similar mental process I had with trainers and trackie tops. The emmerdale farm references and your reliance on using beer as currency is my favourite part of this story. I bought U2s first single there on orange vinyl in the same shop. Was called U23. A Swedish chap begged me to sell it to him years later. Think he gave me 400 quid for it. Prob worth a lot more now. Never released in UK I think was on Irish label. Was incredibly thin vinyl I remember had a couple more on coloured vinyl of theirs. I don't think their first single was ever released as a flexi disc. They did do coloured versions though, worth about what you sold it for now. You do mean the single Three?

Newcastle Town can barely get 100 fans despite this recent non league crowd boom. Castle has loads going for it for a Saturday afternoon at the match, so I’m a bit mystified why this should be so. Location location. They have never had good crowds. Its too close to Stokes ground and the main population of Newcastle is in the north of the town.

I worry about Ince, DWP and Doughty as the attacking 3. Potential upset on the cards today? Never in a million years.

That really is. I’ve been there when there has been less than 100 2-3 seasons back their average gate was something like 120. Even taking Leek supporters into account that is massive. Leek generally get about 400 on a good day! Leek are averaging 600 odd nowadays on a normal day.

1000 Os fans ? So even they can’t be bothered 20% of their average gate is decent.

We know where our taxes go ... to tory donors and their friends companies. Stoke on Trent voting tory has shot itself in the foot. We're about to experience the genuine vindictive nature of Westminster. Because a hundred years of Labour worked really well didn’t it I wouldn't bother posting any more of your political views if I were you.

My grandfather was overman at Florence colliery and was sent out to different pits around the north midlands and the north west. He was sent to Sneyd 12 months before the disaster and sent a report to his seniors that it was an unsafe and just a matter of time before something would happen. His recommendations were ignored/not dealt with soon enough.

Nice and busy ahead of today's game, but staff were brilliant, kept it moving polite and friendly and enough tills on. Well in to the staff. Isn't that just what is expected? Its like praising a taxi driver for taking you home.

"In times of crisis (ie now!) people trust Tories with finances much more than they do Labour I’m afraid " This had in the past been generally true. Surely it cannot still be, anyway has anyone actually got any money left? Yes. Lots of people. For the last 2 years the majority of the working population have continued to earn a full wage but their spending has been down. So there are hugh amounts of accumulated savings out there waiting to be spent. Im not sure if you noticed but peoples savings have earned next to nothing over the past 12 years.

I have had a Project turntable for a while now and would highly recommend you search the Q Acoustic range you will not be disappointed if so blame me. In all seriousness they are top notch. I have been into music all my life ,owned music shops, DJed etc etc when I was younger and have over 2,000 vinyl in my house still.Just thought Id say. Kef decent, Bose overrated not good value for money. Do I have to get speakers with an amplifier built in or not? I was told that the sb phono turntable doesn't require the speakers to have it? I'm a complete technophobe so no fuck all about this kind of stuff, but I just want to make sure I can get the vinyl playing on Christmas day Hi mate you will need to buy an amplifier to run any decent speakers on your fine turntable. Hello, the turntable has a phono stage built-in - so what you need is an amplifier with a spare LINE or AUX input, which is then connected onto a set of speakers. Alternatively, you can connect to a pair of powered speakers, with a spare LINE or AUX input, as they have the amplifier built-in to the speakers for extra convenience. "Sunak : seems so far to have had a good covid period " Hangs head in utter disbelief. You can hang your head in whatever manner you may wish But in reality millions are grateful they still have jobs and business’s due to his interventions Same as every other wealthy country. Not forgetting the 500 million eat out to help out scheme which caused a significant rise in new infections in August and early September accelerating the pandemic into its second wave increasing infecting up to 17% in certain areas.

I think generally big personalities get the larger vote (eg Thatcher, Clinton, Blair, Johnson …..even ….. Trump! Labour’s problem is that Starmer lacks that wow factor/X factor as he’s obviously very clinical and measured with his barrister background (not his fault, obviously) I think someone like Nandy would get a bigger vote than Starmer in the Nortj + Midlands but whether that would be enough to topple the Tories is another matter. In times of crisis (ie now!) people trust Tories with finances much more than they do Labour I’m afraid …. And it riles me to have to admit this! "In times of crisis (ie now!) people trust Tories with finances much more than they do Labour I’m afraid " This had in the past been generally true.
