I'm looking for some advice on speakers to go with a turntable I've brought for my ladys Christmas present.... I've purchased a Pro-Ject T1 SB phono turntable and I seem to be struggling to get a decent set of bookshelf speakers under £300. I've spoken to a few so called experts in a few local shops but they all seem hell bent on flogging me the expensive speakers that I don't want to spend on. I know there are a few music heads knocking about on here so any advice welcome 😊 I have had a Project turntable for a while now and would highly recommend you search the Q Acoustic range you will not be disappointed if so blame me. In all seriousness they are top notch. I have been into music all my life ,owned music shops, DJed etc etc when I was younger and have over 2,000 vinyl in my house still.Just thought Id say. Kef decent, Bose overrated not good value for money.

Well it’s only a matter of time before the bumbling fool is either stabbed in the back or falls on his sword So who are the runners for the top job and who would you like Sunak : seems so far to have had a good covid period Truss : god help us Hunt : would I think seem popular with the country Baker : slowly going around building support from the right would guarantee a hard brexit stance probably to hard for most MPs My possible outside choice Johnny mercer a ex young army officer resigned on principle before Would I think appeal to the red wall I would of course like David Davis but his age and previous attempts would rule him out "Sunak : seems so far to have had a good covid period " Hangs head in utter disbelief.

It will continue for the rest of our lives until they start to evenly distribute the vaccinations. Uk has bought 7 vaccines for every person in uk Exactly my point, while half the world have none.

Blair might be the best of a bad bunch but that is not saying a lot. We should not forget though that the Blair administration was built on bad debt, allowing bankers to make huge bonuses on the back of false profits, built on the concept that property prices always increase and allowing people to mortgage themselves to the hilt with debt they could not possibly pay back. Blair and Brown sat back and watched despite all the warning signs and followed the buddy Bush in doing nothing till the crashes of all the financial institutions bar a few. They could have acted but why spoil a good run? Barclays were as guilt as anyone but managed to shovel all their toxic debt on to other idiots. In the end we got the collapse of 2008 where everything of the previous decade was rapidly undone. Blair also wanted to take the UK into the Euro, but Brown took wiser counsel and kept out. Then there is a little matter of going to war on the basis of a lie. All in all tuliphead is right " We haven't had a decent 'leader' of UK government for years and years and years -" Bollocks
Blair was a poodle for George W and him and his family fucked off to America because he's beeen well rewarded for being an obedient dog . Now true leader was Maggie , stopped the country being run by corrupt unions with no economic sense.

Tell that to the homeless and real needy. Plus you yet again dive into a topic you no absolutely nothing about. In the not so distant future(ten years max) it will be profitable and India will reap the benefits. Whether or not that will cascade down to the people ?? Who knows. Well I know a bit about it, I’ve been to India 7 times in the last 10 years and seen for myself. Presumably you have too? There is certainly a homelessness and drug issue in this country which needs addressing. Yes I have been for work and leisure, first time in 1991.The first time I went it was, I admit a complete and utter shock (Goa) Polio was everywhere. I went back a few years later and it was practically wiped out. After asking about this I was told that the tourist money had gone into funding the first fully vaccinated state in all of India. Well done Goa.

Don't we have a space program and poverty, admittingly not to the extent of India? Absolutely no comparison, can’t believe you said it TBH. Tell that to the homeless and real needy. Plus you yet again dive into a topic you no absolutely nothing about. In the not so distant future(ten years max) it will be profitable and India will reap the benefits. What really staggered me on the BBC news this evening was the 6 o'clock news started with an article of Afghans selling their children for money for food and the news ended with Afghanistan playing Scotland at cricket!!! What a crazy world we live in. Yep, starving children around the world and an MP who can get a couple of part time jobs for £100k a year to ask a few questions The world is too wealthy in just a few places, but countries like India who don't feed or house their poor yet have a space programme Don't we have a space program and poverty, admittingly not to the extent of India?

The horrendous showing against Blackburn makes this important. We need a positive response from the players. I thought we needed a response after Bristol, contrary to what others said I thought we were toothless in attack. But I think the injury list is too much for us and our record down there is poor. We live in hope.

The Colour Room, set and filmed in The Potteries. Story of Clarice Cliff, the ceramic artist. Is it out yet? The thing about these films, filmed or based in the potteries ,is that there is never a potteries accent to be heard.

Some on had better be careful . I doubt that if the guy had gone to court it would have been quite obvious it was an attempt at humour / satire but yeah if you want jokes banned good for you. Attempt at humour yes you're funny.

Nothing like a terrorist blowing himself up outside a hospital and photoshopping Corbyn laying a wreath for him for a good laugh. I'm in stitches here. OS. And which terrorist was this?

The best video I've seen regarding this case and I've been following it closely. For anyone who is struggling with the verdict this is a vid that deals in the facts, leaving the politics out of it. The media, left and right, have been shocking when reporting on this case in America and some of it has spread over here. About 13 minutes and well worth the watch Thank you. So we can forget all the bullshit (including mine) and see what really happened. On that basis and taking account of their crazy laws, I would have found him not guilty of murder either. The stupid kid did put himself in harm's way and he was wrong to do so. He should have left it to the police and not acted like a wannabe Rambo. So, because he did create the situation himself, he is responsible for the deaths of those two nutters he shot and that other one who was wounded, but under a charge of murder he was not guilty. He was actually defending himself from even crazier people than himself. Having said that, there were so many wrongs that occurred that night that there should be dozens of prosecutions ensuing from it. I really am glad that I don't live in that crazy country. The US is on the way out as a country to be looked up to. It's almost a broken state like Libya. China will be the next superpower so we'll see how that pans out. If we last that long with nutters around in the world today. OS. I believe he put others in harms way not himself.

Whether it was Rittenhouse, law enforcement or the National Guard defending the streets from protesters who riot, burn and loot private property does that statement not apply equally to them also? Or are we to accept this behaviour equally? Not to the leftists Yawn, its nothing to do with politics its to do with what's right and what's wrong.

He was not prepared to accept the responsibility or consequences of his actions which is something children are told. Or are we to accept this behaviour equally? No we are not but he was the only one who committed murder that night.

Scandalous decision. Regardless of the law and right to carry arms etc. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that if you go looking for trouble it will find you. Yeah if you were attacked by three blokes with guns you’d think exactly the same But he deliberately put himself in that position, what did he expect a candyfloss convention. He went onto the streets with the sole intention of "defending them" and to do that he was prepared to kill which he did and was the only person to do so. He was not prepared to accept the responsibility or consequences of his actions which is something children are told.
