Macclesfield today play at home against Winsford, the game has sold out with over 4500 tickets sold.
Some going for a side out of the football league!
Surely only a matter of time until they are challenging back in the football league?

Ironic isn’t it that when they were in the EFL they struggled to get 2,000.

And yet Stafford are home to Nantwich and will be lucky to get 1000 in. Amazing what a tv documentary does for a club like Macc.

Bit like Bury , Macc were a victim of the ‘glory hunting’ age we live in. All the locals far keener to travel into Manchester rather than keep the local club afloat. Hopefully the documentary helped a few realise the error of their ways.

Macclesfield I imagine will have a large Manchester United fan base

At Kidsgrove today, I'd say close if not more than 1000 today a great attendance for us (Kidsgrove lad and they are my second team) lost 2-3 to Leek a very good game not much in it but have to say a good watch.

You could say the same re Barnet, Orient, Stockport etc, victim of being close to far bigger clubs.

Macclesfield scraped a 2-1 win in front of 4,300 odd.
Non-league football is in the healthiest state it's been for a long time, they've been the real winners from the whole Covid situation as some fans have clearly stopped going to their local league team and given their local non-league team a try........

I went Alsager Town today..We lost 0-1 to Rochester, could of been a lot more if it wasn’t for Alsager’s outstanding keeper. 139 fans there, normally get about 60-70

I went to Macc today with my Son's. Really easy to buy tickets online - £10 for an adult - where you are sent a QR code to either print off or show to the turnstile operator on your phone. Stoke take note. Numerous beers on tap around the ground and no problem drinking on the terraces. The new stand, with the bar almost the full length of the pitch, was very good. Savage on the pitch at the end loving every minute. Good luck to them, I'll certainly keep an eye on their fixtures and results.

They were unlucky not to draw the game I watched them in tbh but I’m surprised they got a win at Alsager today.

One I was at was, ended 2 all, both teams hit the bar/post, and both scored from a penalty and could have won it, great entertainment for £5. 1874 Northwich v Runcorn Linnets on New Year's day should be a cracker, expecting about 700 there.

I'm a season ticket holder and travel to 80% of away games. Getting tickets is a pain in the arse. My Son was a season ticket holder for 14 years before he went to Uni. As far as Stoke are concerned, he doesn't exist. I have to go to the ticket Office, stand in a queue and then explain to someone through bullet proof glass before I can get him a ticket with me and his brother at away games. It's a nonsense. I've bought loads of tickets for home and away and never seen a QR code

Its enjoyable attending non league games. No need to book match or rail tickets in advance,no fret at not winning and good banter. In our neck of the woods we've been watching the best team in Bradford (Park Avenue), the best in Leeds (Guiseley or Farsley!), and also Pontefract. Even met a Stoke fan at a Guiseley game!
