I thought he was born in north staffs hospital. Well Mama was at Stoke from 2005 until 2013 and Sol was born in 2007( 😱) so unless they went to Paris specifically so he would be French born it’s likely he’d have been born in Stoke. He certainly qualifies as English for the national side. He would qualify for France, England or Mali.

I think Brown would do a better job for Luton than Barkley. Barkley: talented but not as good as he thinks he is, questionable attitude, career on a downward slope, little resale value- More like the players our old regime favoured. Except we paid massively over the top fees.

Can't help but feel this deal will bite us on the arse, either this season or next.. We need to get used to the fact that we’ll be selling our better players going forward. That’s the reality for the majority of clubs. Buy low, turn a profit, identify your replacements well in advance. All successful clubs do it.We are just out of practice. The previous model of buying players at over inflated prices, with no sell on value is one of the reasons that we have floundered for the last five seasons.

I might be wrong but I’m sure I heard a shout and thought it was Travers calling for it then Thomas nicked in between them. I think he’s clearly an upgrade on anything we’ve had for ages. Maybe he was at fault tonight for the goal, but I’ve been impressed overall by what I’ve seen from him. I blame Travers less than McNally it looked like his error initially and he can't be stood there and not impact the situation positively. I guess he's rusty and it didn't matter in the end. The way our subs came on though we looked weaker up top and that might have been enough to rally them. Thankfully we went straight up the other end and scored. The manager is blaming the two centre halves.McNally for his challenge and Wilmot not covering the space.

He’s actually waht we need and if comes ot muscle you have to fancy us over Preston presumably both clubs have agreed the £1m loan fee & Stoke offering a bigger percentage of his wages? If that's the case Everton would presumably block a loan to PNE giving the player one choice However if the ££££ is the same/very similar & it's down to the player then PNE have the advantage as we was there last year although he may fancy teaming up with Gallagher again? Speaks the same language as Ryan Lowe as well.

He was better going forward than Sterling and put in some lovely crosses, but I don't ever remember any opponent getting the better of Sterling on a one on one.He was a top defender. Seem to remember the Brighton lad gave him a torrid time and did him for the goal if you recall? That said he was a top player! Didn’t go mate.

Agreed, he did well and did a more well-rounded job than Sterling did from LB last season. Tymon should try to learn all he can from him! He was better going forward than Sterling and put in some lovely crosses, but I don't ever remember any opponent getting the better of Sterling on a one on one.He was a top defender.

Agree about Wilmot and his “lovely passing” and I honestly overlooked his hand in two goals. But your score for Johnson is quite frankly bizarre. I know what you mean about a couple of his final balls but his set pieces were good and ball carrying superb. He carried it well yeah and then screwed the pass up. I enjoyed his performance but his final ball just wasn’t there. On a couple of occasions Vidigal and Mmaee made completely the wrong runs to be fair. They both went for the same space and then stopped running. That will come with better communication.

Whoever thought Brown had a bad game today either, weren’t there, doesn’t not know what he is in the team to do, or is surely on the wind up. Absolutely. I know he has his limitations, but in an attack where others provide the silky touches and clever passes, he provides something they may not be able to. Jon Walters was underrated too by the same people who moan about Brown. Doesn't get any protection from the refs either. He was being pushed and pulled all over the place today and was given nothing.

Why did you give Stevens a low score? Lost a couple of duels, passed it back a couple of times when he could have worked the ball forward. Like I have said, he didn't have a poor game by any stretch of the imagination, I just thought there were better players out there today For sure. But I think he was a lot better than the doom mongers had predicted.I was very happy with his performance.

Talk about an agenda. Mental! More than mental, just attention seeking nonsense. Brown was excellent today. Problem is whilst they are biting he will keep fishing.

Stevens was absolutely fine, a clear upgrade on Fox 'legs gone', solid Yeah, like I said mate, I'm not in anyway saying that they were poor but they would score my 2 lowest scores if I was rating all of the players out of 10 today. Why did you give Stevens a low score?

I’m absolutely fucking fuming at this tbf, we invested a lot in him and he wasn’t far off, the same could’ve happened to Souttar after his loan at Fleetwood, to accept around 300k for a 21 year old defender is fucking mind boggling… he’s a 21 year old Stoke City defender and we accept fucking peanuts from Bristol bastard rovers…it’s embarrassing, we’ve done a lot of good work this summer but this is absolutely off the scale, the fact he’s going isn’t the be all n end all, as it will be good for his career but the fee is a joke….no one will convince me otherwise. Get used to it, we won’t be developing much (if any) talent from within with AN in charge. If Connor Taylor was good enough he would have been playing regularly. He isn't up to this level and certainly not up to the level we aspire too.Thats my opinion and obviously that of the management.

Still waiting. Email said Thursday at latest. Been ticket office today & they said if it hasn’t come by tomorrow, to phone so I can pick up a match ticket for Saturday My son has just bought a ticket and they have just emailed a link which produces a ticket you present on your phone. Why they can’t do the same for season cards,as other clubs do god only knows. As someone who regularly forgets his season card,it would be a great help. Most people never leave home without their mobile so it’s a no brainier.

A good few years back Taylor would probably be classed as a donkey. Steve Bould was criticised for his early displays as was Tony Adams at Arsenal, but both overcame their shortcomings to gain wide acclaim. Hopefully this can happen to Taylor, but Stoke can't take a gamble on this happening unfortunately. Boulds first few games were at right back and he was totally exposed. When he was put into the middle he was a revelation.Mick Mills offered him a ten year contract I think. There really is no comparison between the two.

We don’t have a great record in signing players from Honduras do we. Would he cope with the wind and rain? The player we signed wasn't the one,we saw at Wigan for a myriad of reasons.Awsome player when he first came over.

He was dropped for 2 matches after that performance.(should have been dropped from an aircraft). Would love to have seen the referees match assessor's report. He later announced his retirement and I wonder if he'd been told he wouldn't be selected this season. We had some shockers last season M We certainly did.Woolmer was the cherry on top.

Within all the excitement of the signings that have been made.....I had completely forgotten about those wonderful officials. Now lets see, who were the absolute Jaffa's we had last season? Andy Woolmer by a country mile. Retired at the end of the season, should have been prosecuted instead. His performance in the WBA match alone should have seen him being horse whipped. He was dropped for 2 matches after that performance.(should have been dropped from an aircraft). Would love to have seen the referees match assessor's report. He later announced his retirement and I wonder if he'd been told he wouldn't be selected this season.

Onomah isn't better than Smallbone. Come now. he is , he’s just very inconsistent, where as Smallbone had 5 good games Can't really compare the two, when Onomah hasn't completed a full 90 minutes,or close too since September 21.

I wasn't convinced by him at all when we played Coventry. Thought he was weak, gifted possession away quite easily a number of times and looked vulnerable on his inside. Could have been an off day of course, and the stats would paint a more accurate picture. Actually Mark Robins mentioned a totally out of character performance by him,in his post match interview.

His substitute appearance V Everton is all I've seen of Onamah but I was very impressed. For a big unit he is quick, good in possession and looks like he can bully opposition off the ball. Signing him is a no brainer for me, he'd be a massive upgrade on Thompson. Onamha plays slightly further forward Thompson would be Pearson cover 🙄
