1. Must have oatcakes with bacon & cheese pre match, 2. Salute single magpies on matchday, (but at the moment everytime one is seen, not just matchdays). 3. Say 'There she is fortress Britannia' on first sighting of the Brit.

When we spoke to the guy in the ticket office yesterday, he even knew that it took exactly 42 minutes to drive to our house from the stadium. That was wierd!!

I am local to Shrewsbury, and never thought I'd have to think about whether it was 'safe'. But I can recommend that if anyone want a quiet drink and maybe lunch before the match The Bull Inn is good just up the alley by Thomas Cook, however I don't know their policies on match days. We will be heading there first to see if we're welcome.

Frankwell car park is near to the bus station for those who want to go into the town centre first and then use the bus, it's £3 to park all day and near to Wetherspoons.

I haven't been to the new stadium yet, so will find out on Saturday. I think we are now going to park in the Meole Brace Park and Ride and bus into town centre before the match and then back in time for the match.

For anyone planning to travel by train, the Crewe to Shrewsbury line is partially closed this weekend. So those wanting to go by train from Crewe, Nantwich, Whitchurch etc the usual timetable does not apply, you should check the journey, some replacement buses are on early, otherwise a major detour. The trip which ususally takes us 25 minutes is now taking over 2 hours so I think we will be taking the car. I think it is only the Crewe to Shrewsbury line that is affected.

I had a dream that we had Aston Villa at home for the first match, we lost 2-0 and it was on TV. But they put up the Aston Villa score first even though we were playing at home. Also Aston Villa were playing in Yellow.
I usually dream match scores in reverse so that means; it won't be Aston Villa, we won't lose 2-0, it won't be at home, it won't be on TV and we will be playing in yellow!

Til The Race For Life at Trentham Gardens. My daughter and I are taking part, I know some of you have already sponsored us, but if you haven't yet sponsored anyone for this event, we are just £25 short of our target. There should be a link to our fundraising page below. Thanks to those who have already sponsored us, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

My daughter and I have just signed up to do the Race for Life on 10th June; it is a women only 5km race starting at Trentham Gardens in aid of Cancer Research UK. I lost my Mum to cancer when I had just turned 20; I think everyone knows someone who has been affected by the disease. We would like to raise as much money as possible, so if anyone on this board is able to sponsor us please follow the link to go to our sponsorship page, it is a secure Just Giving site, any donations go directly to the charity. Even small amounts would make a difference and I would be pleased to be taking part with the support of fellow Stoke Fans. Hopefully we will be able to meet our current target and raise it some more. PS. I REALLY hate running, so it is going to be a challenge for me! www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/FCstoke(Hope it’s ok to post this, it is a very good cause).

Most folks will put their own team to win, so whichever team wins the league should have a high scoring 'predictor', therefore Musik you have an excellent chance!!
